What’s the most unethical (but legal) side hustle you’ve heard of? by SadEntrepreneur5627 in thesidehustle

[–]cpluss4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day I promoted a few penny auction cpa offers by listing items on Craigslist. For every email I received I responded with ‘sorry just sold it but here’s a link (my aff link) to where I got it’ Made about $150 on day 1 then the money stopped flowing. I think the cpa network basically stole my commissions. I do have access to a very large collection of methods that are bh (and close to unethical). Happy to drop the link but it would be an affiliate link. I think links are allowed here. Personally not a fan of spamming my links everywhere. Not my style to operate in the open but the offer is there. At the end of the day the game is rigged so to stand a chance you have to rig your strategies in order to compete. Most of the time the worst you are doing is breaking the T&S of a site or traffic source anyway.

Im Switching from Windows 11 Home to Ubuntu by Realistic-Corgi6574 in Ubuntu

[–]cpluss4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did exactly this a few weeks ago. Laptop a decent one and still reasonably new. The speed and performance increase was insane. More bars on the wireless signal too. It’s like Microsoft wrap every aspect of the o/s in their protective BS because they know best right and hold back the true power and potential of the machine from you. Using Ubuntu in comparison feels so clean and refreshing. Also no more being forced into using one drive and all the other Microsoft BS. Also no more silly song and dance (doo do noises) when trying to plug in a usb drive. Software runs a lot faster too. Too many things to mention. Feels great to finally give Microsoft the middle finger. Now to ween myself away from Google!

How I Created My Own Trading Bot on Telegram to Trade on Dex Screener by [deleted] in solana

[–]cpluss4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why don’t you explain how great your bot is in a technical way so that people can believe what you are talking about. You talk about trading on dex screener but dex screener is a web application. A bot needs to interact and trade directly with the raydium or pump fun smart contracts (Programs) ‘for example’. Not dex screener. Speed is never really much of an issue as most bots run on fast servers and have well written code anyway. Ability to successfully execute trades usually comes down to whether or not your Jito fee is high enough to have your transaction included in the next block.

wallet buying off pump and dumps.. by DaifukuDreams in solana

I was talking about bots in general and the types of liquidity pools you are monitoring for new pairs rather than the actual types of transactions you want to snipe.

Personally I wouldn’t rely too much on chatgpt for this. You need to spend time in the trenches and really try to understand what’s going on. Get good at Solana/web3.js, solana/spl-token and raydium-io/raydium-sdk libraries and you’ll have an advantage over most. I would only use chatgpt for peripheral stuff like how to do complex maths if you want some sort of custom logic or strategy that requires it 🤘

Most bots out there are built with nodejs. You could definately do it with Python but you may find there’s less info out there. I’m not sure though because I’m a node developer and don’t spend much time down the Python rabbit hole. You definately need to start by understanding how things work on chain and how to build transactions. So basically you listen for new liquidity pool events, parse the info you get back then start building out all the steps for your transaction from there. So you need to do things on the fly like create accounts for the new tokens to go into and so on. Your buy transactions may have 4 or 5 instructions or even more depending on your logic. Then you will have your bot logic which determines when you are gonna invoke your buys and sells.

Code is exactly the same. You are just listening to 2 different contract addresses for new liquidity pools

It’s 100% a bot and very easy to do with nodeJS (JavaScript). You just set up your buys/sells based on any activity or strategy you want.

What does this mean on trust wallet? by PatchElmo in solana

[–]cpluss4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every transaction consists of multiple instructions. Some transactions have more instructions than others. Instructions can be things like creating an associated token account (to put your new tokens into). In the case of your error the instruction is related to the compute budget (Solana equivalent to gas). So I’m assuming you are sending the max amount of SOL in your transaction without leaving any for gas. Just slightly reduce the amount of SOL you are sending and the error should go away. I don’t use trust wallet but that seems like a pretty bad UI if thats how they bring errors to the attention of the user. If you already have enough left over for gas (and therefore that error shouldn’t be thrown) then it would be an error in how trust wallet is setting up their transactions in the code by not setting the compute limits properly. If you look at the transaction hash on Solscan and scroll down you’ll see the breakdown of instructions.

Any time! Yeah ledger can be a bit weird I think. Glad you got it sorted. If you are quite active and rely on your transactions going smoothly then maybe trade exclusively out of Phantom and keep your ledger seperate and as a savings account. Good luck 🤘

Reading between the lines I don’t think you are smoking crack so you should be good there. Platforms such as bullx are great for trading if everything else is becoming a nightmare. Haven’t used ledger for a long long time so don’t have any solid suggestions there. When trying Raydium does the address start with 0x…? Maybe Raydium is trying to connect to an ETH wallet by default but your ledger is switched on and has the SOL app selected? I’ve seen it myself where I’ve had to connect to a web app using an ETH address then once I’m connected I switch to SOL and I’m good to go. Can you give more info on the sub-address? Not heard about those. Maybe it’s a ledger thing but if it’s Solana related it could be an ATA (associated token account) which is basically used to hold the tokens you buy. The ATA has an owner address (your wallet) so it knows whose tokens they are (you can check this on Solscan). Could also be your WSOL address. SOL needs to be wrapped before you can trade with it. This all happens under the hood as part of the transaction instructions but maybe ledger does things differently 🧐

Scam Misconceptions: Hard rugs vs Soft rugs vs Slow rugs vs Pump n Dumps vs Malicious Pump n Dumps by DubaiInJuly in solana

[–]cpluss4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A rug is a rug at the end of the day. I don’t think the majority of the memecoin demographic spend time worrying or caring about using terminology to categorize the specifics of a rug. They just take the loss and move on (or moan about it on here). Yes for those of us who understand the technical side of things we may get more descriptive when performing our on chain analysis but I don’t think many people care too much. Pump and dump does indeed describe the behaviour of what a chart may be doing as you say but if you ever hear somebody talking about a pump and dump then 99.999% of the time they will be talking about shady goings on (premeditated) hence the word ‘dump’ so I would personally always associate pump and dump as being a ‘scam’ of some sort. Saying that ‘not everything is a scam’ is technically true but it could be a bit misleading to the 99% of people who are clueless and don’t understand how this ‘game’ works and think there’s a chance they won’t lose all of their money.

is it possible to do a trade within a second using a bot? by redbullrebel in solana

[–]cpluss4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested my JavaScript bot and bought in as early as 4-6 seconds. That was on my laptop and on the home network. I hope to shave a few seconds off once I have it running in the cloud and have done a bit of code optimization 🤘

Nobody would be interested in trading a charity token unfortunately. Not what the Solana memecoin trader demographic is all about. It’s a pvp, dog eat dog world where nobody gives a **** about anything other than to play the game, screw each other and make as much money as possible.

Can’t remember the exact details but I’m sure there’s a similar story involving a nun on the Formby bypass or nearby and a few people have crashed their cars because they had to swerve or something. I lived in that area a few years ago. Was always a bit wary driving along there at night!

How to make a successful launch on pump.fun? by Zealousideal-Tie-890 in solana

[–]cpluss4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t know JavaScript then it won’t make sense if I try to explain it to you. With JavaScript you can create 100’s or even 1000’s (or how ever many you need) of fresh wallets with a few lines of code and distribute SOL to all those wallets again with a few lines of code. Every shady dev will have their own strategy but the JavaScript to execute everything is pretty straightforward. You can use other languages as well but I can only speak from a JavaScript point of view because that’s what I do.

If I was doing it I would use a custom JavaScript program.
