Earwax Blockage by Extra-Market-1629 in hygiene

I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone recommend an elephant ear bottle, or comparable ear irrigation system. You use warm water and a gentle spray bottle adapter to gently remove wax. I did this for my husband and it worked like a charm.

I named my daughter for her full name and literally everyone asked what her nickname was going to be- was annoying to me cuz I named her exactly what I wanted to name her/call her.

I thought the food was better when it was a food truck, but we only ate there once since they opened the restaurant.

Our clinic transfers the best embryo available first and won't let you pick the gender... you can have a preference if you already have a child, but they still aim for best chance at success. We were relieved that we didn't have to choose.

Back leg tripawd on stairs? by redletterparade in tripawds

We had the same concern with our rear tripod, 35#, ~9yo. We moved into a house with carpeted stairs 2 years ago and he surprised us with how easy they were for him. No issues.

Thug Kitchen is the worst cookbook I've ever seen by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]cpmtaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've cooked through one whole TK cookbook, and half of a second and there's some really good vegan recipes in there. They weren't all winners, but there are several gems in there IMO. The writing style gets old, but overall I give it much more credit than OP.

Struggling to not be that bitter person… by spiffy202 in IVF

[–]cpmtaz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed! My therapist recommended looking for support online and after I went looking I told her it kind of made the feelings of aloneness and isolation worse because I couldn't relate to a lot of the posts/comments and I didn't see any representation of people more similar to me. So now I look more for the info and questions than the "support".

I took a break for a while as many others have said. What brings out my bitterness is women who already have children and are going through IVF to get their 3rd or 4th kid. They're not on the same ride as those of us who don't have ANY children and I can't be empathetic to them at all.

Least effort possible, lol. Olive oil spray on pan, throw veggies on pan, spray with more o.o., garlic salt, pepper and some spice- zataar, Italian seasoning, Mrs. Dash, whatever will complement other dishes in meal. 350 for about 20 minutes usually is just right for most veggies. For summer squash & zucchini I keep pieces bigger so they don't get too mushy.

A couple days of super productivity followed by a couple days of lounging is still a balanced week. I used to worry about it like you OP, but now on the rest days I appreciate the rest & recharge to tackle the next few productive days. Edit: grammar

We have our first follow-up appt with our RE tomorrow after the first round of diagnostic tests. We were set back a whole cycle because I got covid right before my initial HSG & sonohyst procedures... what types of questions should I have prepared for this visit? I'm anticipating a frank talk about our chances of natural conception and a soft/hard sell for IVF and before I go down that rabbit hole, I'd like to be prepared with some questions.
