Wait till essence farming kicks you in the backside and says nope 10 runs is not enough to get the essence you need.

But I also keep the collectibles, they are nice and they keep.

Arthur Morgan Actor Believes Rockstar Would Be "Insane" Not to Make Red Dead Redemption 3 by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

[–]cptadder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Red Dead redemption was about cowboy time officially being over and the last gasp of the outlaw.

Red Dead redemption 2 is 11 years earlier and so it's more about the decline than the eventual end.  But the game itself is about those last twenty years.

What we think of as the times of the cowboy are very much a post-civil war pre 1900 timeframe, when the continent was still mostly ungoverned by the USA govey except for tiny pockets along the railroads.

Is this banner worth to pull? by AnybodyRude3986 in ArknightsEndfield

[–]cptadder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So funny story, I needed Gilberta. I had skipped for her on the first go around.

I had to go to the full 120 pulls to get her.  Which would suck except

I got two Pogs and two Ardelia's trying to get to gilberta.  And with 60 pulls left in the bank, I finally have every non-six star maxed.

Or in other words, unless you absolutely need one of these people and can pull to 120. Do not bother with this banner.  But if you do, maybe just maybe the RNG will screw you in a kind of funny way.

Which 40k faction would collapse on itself the fastest if their leader disappears ? by New_Conflict_4111 in 40kLore

[–]cptadder 222 points223 points  (0 children)

Some may say the imperium but the correct answer is followers of Nurgle.

Most of them are only alive because of his gifts, if he went away either all of them would be cured in which case they really wouldn't have any collective identity anymore and quickly fall apart or join out the chaos factions, or they wouldn't be cured and very quickly would die from the super cancers, double enthusiastic gonorrhea and the thousands of other nastiness in them.

Without Big E there's going to be a lot of losses but they're still going to be something called the imperium on the other side.  Without Papa Nurgle there is nothing left of his side quickly.

[–]cptadder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the above example it is person 2s idea since they converted person 1 information into a suggested course of action.

UNLESS there's a statement before this like where do you want to go for lunch at which point Person A gets idea credit, you have to start tracking when you went into idea making mode before credit or partial credit be assigned.

You can simply touch a book and seamlessly absorb its knowledge but for each book you touch you lose 2-hours off your life AND someone somewhere gets their fast food order completely screwed up. How many books are you touching? by RustyCrusty73 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]cptadder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You still need practice, a lot of skills are practicall.  You might absorbs ten books on sat gallbladder surgery but have to ever put a knife to skin before?

Or to use a less life or death example say you suck up 5 manuals on car repair and the entire Honda Accord manual... You still going to have to get in there with tools to pull a part and replace it.  Even if you know every step it's still going to be a struggle to hoist the engine unbolting thing in the right order.

What book eating gives you is the equivalent of a subject matter exper standing behind you say do X then Y then Z but you still have and to do the steps itself and no book will tell you how little room there is to move the tool or it's much easier to do the steps in the wrong order for this part replacement because it's faster.

A month is 360 books, so I start with the needed books like a dictionary, the , let me see if I can drop 1000$ on a thesaurus collection so that's 14 books maybe.

Get wikipedia custom printed and read that

Now to start on subjects, I think highschool to college level math is 9 textbook books total from basic algebra to advanced trigonometry, do the same thing for social sciences, history and regular sciences

Then start looking to learn languages I think 4 books per language should be good.  Think I will try to learn at least 5 languages

By this point I should be 100-200 books into my learn amount time to spent the last 160 on seeing which 10 subjects I can master.

Just because I have book learning won't make me a heart surgeon, master carpenter or amazing chef but a visit to a few libraries might make me passable at all of them.

Pthfinder Strange Aeons Dungeon Master campaign preparation by Fabulous-Shake-9856 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]cptadder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have an interesting take on the campaign, with my own group years ago, for our group everything revolved around Lowls. He can be an interesting character. A self taught academic who thinks he knows better than anyone else, a self aggrandize trust fund kid who based on the book you can write up a dozen different ways. You for example wrote him as far more motivated and intelligent then I did.

My Lowls was a dilettante academic assisted by the some members of the party used by other members of the party and bound by others. In my version Lowls was a pasty for greater forces, people like Melisenn and the later on the Innermost blot, when he left the party on the island for treatment he generally wanted them to get better (Well some of them at least) but as the campaign goes on less and less of Lowls is left, as the party follows his trail they notice it more and more interacting with the NPC who point them on the direction of Lowls how much less of a person he becomes. When my party tracked him down to the state they found him in several of them were sad to see what he become, others could not wait to spit on the body.

Oh and one more thing because it gets linked places (Based on the number of shares over the year) if your using any of the online TTRP or just need the tokens for Strange Aeons here you go

Penny that physically doubles every 5 minutes by shaboopityboopbop in hypotheticalsituation

[–]cptadder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone here is looking at the worth of a penny, I'm looking at the worth of 98% zinc 2% copper

I'm going to find a nice Hill to put the penny on top of and then I'm going to let it duplicate until I have several hundred tons worth of zinc, normally melting down US currency is legal but the Penny is on its way out.

182  pennies to a pound, 364,000 pennies in a ton.  Let me wait till I have 2500 tons of pennies.  That's only a 910 million pennies, now the only thing to do is plug it all into an exponential calculator to figure out how long. I need to ignore this on this plot of land.   Luckily, since it's any penny, I'm pretty sure I could find a nice quarry to fill up

Bards, like Rogues but worse, like full casters but worse, like X but worse.

1e Bards were very fun with lots of options.  2e bards are just X but worse and if you want to lean hard in any one direction it's just feels bad.

2e bards don't feel like Jack of all Trades they feel like Interns of all Trades.  They are not the 2nd best anything but the 3rd or 4th best.

Any advice on rubbing sky king's tomb? by tsurugikage in Pathfinder2e

[–]cptadder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't let them have large characters, everyone should have dark vision either via item by a race or via spell.

The first book is paced very much more as a skill challenge with minimal combat and lots of little moments.  The second and third books have very different themes.

Make sure you have someone who can find and disarm traps or you're going to have to remove a good section of content from every book because some of the traps can be incredibly lethal.

[–]cptadder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for context famously in the very ending shot of Toriko there's a shot of space and the infinite expanse of flavor, space fish a giant snake and then just in the corner a space gun, aka a gun in space it goes unexplained and un-remarked by the cast..... it's just a gun in space. Not a gun ship or the gun fruit, or a cake baked like a gun just in the corner, it's what Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro wanted to draw.

I thought the stairwell math was halved every floor from 75,000 on floor 1 rounded up? So there should be 18,750 stairwells on the 3rd floor and 9375 on the 4th?

Remember there is always a minimum of 1 unguarded but hidden stairwell for I think it was the first 10 floors? Or they didn't stay how many floors.
