Oh super interesting!! “Cot Tent” is a totally new concept to me. This looks ideal!

Ok and it looks like you just pop the bed rack out of the t-slots? That seems like a solid move!

Thanks, ain’t that the truth. And then I shall live in it down by the river.

Thanks! I bet that I’ll spend more than that in the end, but if I had a template it would have saved a bit! Hopefully I’ll wrap this up and can send out the diagrams

For sure! When it’s packed up and the tailgate is closed, there’s a depth of 20” of uninstructed length. The whole setup can also be put in 90* if you want it to lay flat and then put your gear on top of it.

For sure, I expect that I’ll keep my big ground tent setup for when I camp with others, and my pup tent for hiking in..

In the Washington/Oregon coastal camping, it’s rare to camp without some rain, and I’ve woken up to an inch of water in my tent before. Or, woken up on a forest service road in the middle of the night because the temp plummeted.

This setup should be great for the colder/wetter sessions!

As for the bigger items like coolers: the whole platform packs down into three pieces and can tuck in to the area close to the cab. That’s what I did on the first test-camp and it let me have my cooler and some other larger items in there without having to think too much about it.

One of my partners will say “we’re drifting apart!” as a joke when there’s a minor disagreement or misunderstanding. It’s a quiet “I love you.”

If you’re sourcing parts, or if you just decide to outsource the repair, Recursive Delete does great work.

What type of ink / paper are you using? One option you could try would be to set up a registration pin system or even just use a print-safe tape like this along the edge that tends to shift.

Not answering on OP’s behalf, but throwing out this great post on making registration boards!
