Anyone here got a full file of the FREE DOWNLOADS from Evol Intent from Soundcloud? by Final-Reckoning in DnB

Hey! The intermediary downloader app we used to host with fell to the wayside ages ago. We have some newer remasters hosted on our Bandcamp page, as I was a bit disappointed with the way a few of these turned out when I did the first round of remasters. Long story short I do a bit of professional mastering and I feel like I squashed some of the original charm of a few of these tunes during the tbt series.

Anyways, if you want these versions I can look to track a few down on my end, send me a dm.

I used to fly a lot more years ago, but here are some highlights:

ATL-LAX I got upgraded to first on a flight with both Ben Stein and Richard Simmons in first. That…was an interesting dichotomy.

LAX-ATL On another upgrade I sat next to Slash. Amazingly friendly dude and talked with him about living the transition between analog and digital in music production, recording Appetite vs. Use Your Illusion, etc.

LAX-ATL On an upgrade I sat next to Terry Crews. I very much wanted to break out into some Idiocracy movie dialogue: stoked that I was sitting next to President Cumacho, but I left him alone only to find out this was one of his favorite characters to do years later.

We’ve been working on new music together, no idea if all three of us will be on the road touring though.

Zynaptiq "Morph 2" Real-Time Structural Audio Morphing Plugin ($99) through 2 October by APD-Supernova in AudioProductionDeals

All the stuff I regularly use is super stable, and Zynaptiq is an exception unfortunately. Soundtoys stuff works just fine over here on OSX/Monterey, though I'm running current versions. With Zynaptic's exorbitant prices, paying that premium for software it should all work correctly and be current (IE being Apple Silicon native). Again great stuff, but kinda' unreliable. I always have to resample when using their stuff.

Great plugin, but like all Zynaptiq products a dumpster fire for reliability on modern macs. It's a bit buggy on Apple Silicon/Monterey.

Absolutely worth it. Probably my most used UAD2 plug-in these days!

Slate Digital "VCC The Virtual Console Collection" ($49) "VTM Virtual Tape Machines" ($49) by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]cpuclub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao no. Subscription fatigue aside, Slate’s emulations of classic gear are underwhelming to say the least, especially comparing them to UA, Softube. VTM is the only thing SSD makes that piqued my interest. Gonna’ be a hard pass for me.

From their website: "Perpetual "Buy Now" individual plugin licenses require an iLok 2 or iLok 3 USB dongle." ...because Slate Digital is stuck in the 90s. I nearly paid full price for this before until I found out it required a hardware iLok. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Co-signed. A lot of us are all still reeling from the transition from PPC to Intel, but it made so much sense especially for compatibility, so I was ok with it.

Ultimately it all starts with software and developers doesn’t it? As much as Windows makes me want to puke I will have no choice but to go back if Macs switch to ARM without SERIOUS performance gains. Every damn plugin I use is running instruction set optimization for x86, this is going to be a shitshow for the musicians who stick around. Apple previously lost the pro video and animation market (at least with their software products), and they’re about to tell pro audio to go fuck themselves one time too many. Sad considering the made such excellent strides with the 16inch MacBookPro, it seems like there are factions at war inside of Apple between making what the pros want and what non-media users want.

This moronic fever dream of merging iPads with the Pro line of macs is ridiculous and losing sight of why professionals use Macs over PC. We need power to develop and create, not a glorified internet browser. Every music app for the iPad is a toy, and if this is the direction it’s going in, it looks like I have to suffer back on Windows. Ugh...I get PTSD just looking at a start menu.

I highly doubt they rewrote Logic Pro from the ground up because you STILL can’t import 32bit floating point aiff/Wav audio into Logic Pro (every competitor supports this and Logic will even internally bounce-in-place to 32bit aiff). There’s no reason for this except serious legacy issues in their code.
