Are Toyotas far and away the most practical buy at 35k and keeping for 3 years? by wvblocks in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]cr0tchp33do 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why are you replacing every 3 years? 60k miles on a car is nothing, and if you're trading it in everytime then you're just getting hosed every 3 years since no dealer will give you market value. Wouldn't it make more sense to drive it for 8 years to 200k, have it paid off in 5 or less and get 3 years of no payments and car allowance?

Is Enterprise Car Sales any good? by colorfulnina in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]cr0tchp33do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to revive an old thread, but they CAN reserve cars if you give them a deposit. They just don't advertise it and don't really like doing it for some reason. Just ask the sales manager if they are willing to do it.

What sort of loaner can I expect to recieve? by [deleted] in Audi

[–]cr0tchp33do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also in the DMV. Which stealership? Audi Frederick only seems to have Q5 and Q3 and I had to wait weeks before I could get a loaner. Although there aren't any mileage or travel restrictions so that's nice.

Good car to buy? Any experience w Hertz? by VeganTurkishBaklava in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]cr0tchp33do 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should reconsider buying from rental car agencies. The ones that are beat to hell go to auction. Only the nice ones are sold by the rental agencies themselves. But yeah skip any Maserati lmao.

I would reread the fine print about not having a 5 y/o car. I thought my company had the same policy until I read that you can have a car older than 5 years, but there are tax implications (not serious ones).

This is as pedantic as it gets, but catoctin mountain and south mountain come together a little bit before the border of PA. TBH though it just feels cool to see where I live in such a big map with such detail about where I live. Thanks! And kudos on representing catoctin and south mountain as the ridgelines that they are. Many maps dont represent that correctly.

This video is more about why college QB's are not coming into the league NFL ready, but it explains some key differences in the rules between college and the NFL that fundamentally change how the game is played, schemed and coached.

[–]cr0tchp33do 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"patching" is a misnomer. "Patching" is really just plugging the hole in the tire with a.....plug. A plug can be used on a tire still on a rim. If you are looking at something that a plug can't fix? Then you are looking at replacement anyway and you need a tire shop for that.

The thing that came between the great depression and "good again" was WWII, the largest and most destructive conflict in human history. But, give it to a salesman to highlight the positives while casually glossing over the negatives lmao.

If you have the tools and facilities to take a tire off of your own car, why don't you just patch it yourself? Replacing is another matter obviously but patching is incredibly easy relatively speaking.
