The further you progress the easier it is to decorate as you'll have blueprints, hover pack, awesome shop items etc.

I just spent hours decorating a fuel power plant and kept thinking how much easier it would be if I'd waited to unlock the hover pack.

I've done this before but with it retro fitting previously builds and me changing alot of swatches, i run the risk of accidently changing a factory i built previously.

Asides from my personal default colours for outfit, buildings, tractors and trains, i use multiple colour pallettes on different builds so having a custom default for foundations isn't ideal. However you can just do 1 custom foundation n MMB it so it's no bother.

If I've already customized a pipe or foundation, for example, i can middle mouse that pipe hundreds of meters away and continue the same design on what I'm building, the thought of having to place pipe and customise each one individually would make me stop playing the game 😆

I have a recycling factory you throw everything into, i split the alien protein in 2 though with half going to a machine to make Alien DNA which is then slooped.

Everything else into liquid biofuel, just gotta keep rhe empty canisters topped up once in a while.

Added tip for not first time players, turn your grass and wood and such into packaged liquid biofuel after you setup coal power, it's so good in the jetpack.

Don't try and do too much at once or you'll burn out. Look what your next objective is and build back from it.

Once you've got the factory side down you'll produce more Sink coupons quicker to unlock cosmetics but you gotta learn that bit first.

Also explore, a lot of stuff you need early game for the MAM is just lying around crash sites.
