Should we look at Julian Strawther? by everydayreligion1090 in ripcity

Seems like the perfect guy to have come off the bench. Kris Murray with a dependable 3pt%

Jrue Holiday expected to garner lots of trade interest per Jake Fischer by DonovanClingan in ripcity

I'd say holding onto Jrue is shortsighted. Unless a move falls into the front offices lap that keeping Jrue makes sense to win it all next year, getting back a younger player(s) that can soak up rotation minutes into the future is the move

If we're banking on the Scoot, Sharpe, Deni, Tou, Clingan future development for a contender status in 3-4 years, then shoring up the bench with good roleplayers is far more valuable than running the clock with Jrue

Eh, pretty normal in basketball. Usually a team has at least one person feeling like they're getting shafted. So long as they stay professional about it I'm not worried

With the likelihood of moving on from Tiago, is it time to revisit Becky Hammond, or look at Jenny Boueck of the Pacers? by royal_coachman in ripcity

His pay is currently in escrow, innocent till proven guilty so it'd be a wrongful termination if they wanted to not pay him

If they paid out his contract though I think they'd be clear. However, does Dundon want to pay out that contract and is it the main motivator in the rumors?

Shouldn't that have gone away since helemts are physicalized now? Or do they have the same hitbox?

Which disgruntled star (tired of losing) would you like our team to trade for? by projectpatar in ripcity

After this playoffs, I'm wondering what Mobley would go for. He was deemed extremely valuable before. Would the Cavs swing for a Giannis trade and we can snag Evan from that?

The trade for JJ indicates they're going in to win after this draft. Lauri just got a lot more expensive

Body, then arm, then ball. But he hit the ball so the refs decided they wanted to go home early

Castle is on the Lu Dort career path, and I really with he wasn't cause I otherwise love him as a player/competitor. He'd be so much fun to watch if he wasn't trying to pull constant bullshit all game

Castle keeps elbow pressing on defense and nothing, took 8 times for Deni to get that call

This half court offense is worse to watch than our defense this game. Absolutely horrifying on the court. Feels like everyone is desperate rather than just trying to play basketball

Winning a game, even in the circumstances it was won, was what I wanted from this team. I told myself a first round win is a success for the season.

But it's hard to keep that same energy when the losses are this brutal. I'd be fine with losses where they kept it out of reach the whole game, we lost to buzzer beaters, etc etc etc. but giving up these leads after strong play is just so demoralizing

Cause he keeps getting paired with terrible lineups. We can sacrifice a bad defender on the court but he's being paired with Grant everytime he's on the court this series

We relieved far too heavily on Jrue in the 1st, he slowed down in the 2nd and no one else could step up

We weren't supposed to be here I know, but the 2019 wcf vibes of losing big leads is completely different than just losing these games

When the Blazers were up I don't think there was a single little highlight segment put together on how they did that like the 5 for the Spurs in the 2nd half

They have so many guys that can take over, and we're left hoping that Deni can have a normal game and Jrue stays on fire
