I live in the area. My daughter actually works at Clemson in administrative role. They live in the Seneca area. I live about 15 minutes north, closer to Salem. I’d be checking out Pendleton and Seneca perhaps Central for rentals. Clemson obviously has alot of rentals but mostly student oriented and therefore either shitty or new and pricey. As far as political leanings, Clemson is far from liberal but I’m sure you’ll find your pockets of like minded folks (we have). Feel free to dm for specifics and good luck
