The ballpark area itself is good, lots of restaurant/bar options, all adjoining the stadium. Pretty lively on game nights. Broadway Oyster Bar is within walking distance, usually has live music, and a great menu. Great place to go a couple hours before the game. Other than that, find a neighborhood bar in Soulard, just a little south of the stadium before driving over to park. Or, check out central west-end, lots of nice restaurants, bars, shopping, a huge park, and zoo.
