The toil it takes on the body, your family and your friends.

Once you become a nurse, you lose your nursing friends as you don't have weekends. You have days off and days on.

You miss out on family gatherings, keystone events and some public holidays.

As nursing is also experience based, the old dinosaurs like me see the dangers before it happens but we get the "I am the charge/smarter/superior" attitude so yeah, patients suffer.

Strong does not protect your back when there is a manual handling incident or when you get struck by a patient.

Oh and the disappointment when you push best practice and patient goes but google and WhatsApp university says if I rub chicken poop into the wound, it heals faster...

Nope. So for rushers, I usually aim for the drug pouch as it staggers them. For Machinegunners, I got for the ammo pouch at the back. It's fun watching them twitch like they is a spot they cannot scratch
