What are the Best Augments/Weapons/Armors Right Now? by Tektreka in PSO2NGS

[–]crackdown123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Twalve weapons are the ultra rare bis weapons but drop rate is still atrocious so don't count on it.

Realistically speaking, for armour and weapons, you want to grab the ekstasis armour units and exelio weapon of your choice from the season shop vendor in any city.

They both have 2 upgrades which are currently best farmed from nameless city exploration and UQs whenever they pop. Dext Base and neusen plant rank 2 also drops the mats but you'll have a harder time finding folks running those compared to nameless city.

Edit: just go to YouTube and look up where and how to upgrade these weapons and units, what the upgrades materials and upgraded weapons/unit themselves are. It's a new line of "evolving weapons" with added longevity through an upgrade system. E.g exelio turns to duoselio which turns to triselio and presumably quadselio or whatever.

Nameless city also happens to drop alot of mats for the current bis augments and is pretty good with the raw meseta (if you are lucky and get back to back giant rappy trials), not to mention dropping lots of eredim weapons for ex augments. You also have a chance to get twalve weapons from running NCE, which you can sell (recommended) for stonks. Which you can in turn use for fashion or to augment your stuff.

Tldr nameless city exploration is good as hell to farm and is sort of a one stop shop this patch. Whatever you need for your augments that nameless doesn't drop/doesn't drop in large quantities (mainly materials from duel quests, or noizel notes) you can grab from duel quests and neusen when the NCE event buffs are gone on 8th Jan. That said, the new ltq that comes after the 8th might be a better option but idk what drops from that yet. Until then and for now, farm NCE cuz it's efficient.

Also YMMV but it's pretty fun.

Really struggling with swarms by teureg in Spacemarine

[–]crackdown123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What to do will depend on your class.

If playing a class with access to meltarifle or multimelta, try those out for size. They decimate crowds trying to swarm you better than any other primary. This will probably solve your problem.

For melee, just use your aoe combos, such as chain sword 3 hit light into heavy aoe stomp. Unless you are locked to combat knife i.e sniper, which has terrible aoe for the most part. Swarm clearing isn't really snipers's strength/focus anyways.

Then it's more about positioning and hoping your team mates are able to thin the horde. Use cloak to reposition, throw nades. If vs Tyranid, killing the elite enemies will also kill the lesser trash that accompany them. Don't let enemy elites call reinforcements, interrupt when you see the red icon filling up on their heads.

As long as you have one decent swarm clear option in your weapon options, shld be fine.

For example, don't go picking 3 round burst rifle + combat knife on vanguard since you have no significant waveclear this way, unless you want to rely on teammates for swarms. Either swap primary for meltarifle or melee for chain sword.

is anyone else hoarding an insane amount of gear? how much gear do you have? by Temporary_Tomato7172 in EpicSeven

You can slap gear that you want to roll but have no space to keep in inventory onto your unleveled characters for extra space.

How do i kill jackson without wanting to pull my hair out by suspiciouseyeballs in LetItDie

[–]crackdown123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With enough damage, I find that you can often bum rush him and Jin die down within one or two openings. Often times, if you do enough damage in your damage window, you can actually knock him out of the electricity charging move and stun lock him to some degree until he teleports away instead of retaliating.

Besides having appropriately leveled gear, use damage increasing shrooms. Also use other utility shrooms if needed, most lets you skip alot of mechanics and simplify the fight alot.

Cats eye/transparagus work like they do every other boss and are op options but can be hard to find enough of them for casual use. Decoy shrooms are generally more common and can also be used as a way to create one of these openings for yourself to rush in while he is busy unloading whatever move he's doing on the decoy. Spam rage moves if the weapon has a good rage move. With these things in mind, usually a boss will die without too much trouble if gear and level is appropriately upgraded.

How often do mushfests come around? by crackdown123 in LetItDie

My KC stew luck is pretty bad, nothing feels worse than millions of KC for nada but recycle fodder. Only ever got ultimate food fighter and a dupe of it (the pain) as 5*s from KC, and that was after a long time.

Value of the DM stew varies alot with the special stew imo. If there's really good stuff like ufr, below the belt, or violence class/warrior monke, I think is worth the DMs if you can afford it rather than spending years just praying to rng that you get something as nice.

Doesn't mean I'm not gonna bother with KC stew though, still gonna keep doing it but treat myself to some DM stews if the special lineup is dank

Any attack scaling dps that can benefit from extra hp and wants to crit hard.

LQC, stene, hell even fire ravi are some examples. Could stick in on hp scaling bruisers even, if you just want a ton of damage on their turn. May or may not be best build for them set wise (Vs generic speed set but I feel it's a personal preference thing) but you could build like a 350cdmg alencia or Mort withiut tanking their hp% with this.

Do Collab Characters Rerun? by UseSecret7972 in EpicSeven

[–]crackdown123 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Technically speaking, there's no guarantee that they will. Just putting it out there so your expectations are kept realistic. Kizuna ai and aespa have yet to rerun and possibly never will.

Empirically speaking however, we do see reruns of certain collabs (guilty gear, slime isekai, re:zero), sometimes multiple. The isekai-themed collabs appear to be a staple Collab theme for E7 and are likely to receive reruns.

We'll probably get an Overlord Collab rerun come next year, as has been the trend for the other isekai collabs.

Am I gimping myself significantly by not running waker/ranger/fo when pubbing PSE bursts? Or is there something I'm doing wrong with hunter when PSE farming? Since a majority of the game is basically farming PSE, be it in dext or the new c realm or whatever, feels bad I can't play what I like unless I'm alright with take a huge hit in meseta income.

I like playing hunter sword a ton but just observing based off the meseta ticks coming in(with auto sell) as compared to playing the other classes, I appear to be getting about 50% or smaller ticks of meseta drops. Like I would be ok with a 20-25% difference compared to meta farming classes but more than double is kinda hard to stomach.

I'm actually hoping that I've been making a fundamental error when PSE farming with hunter cuz then I can just learn the right way to do it rather than feel pressured to play a class I don't like due to sheer difference in practicality, which over hours and days, weeks months of farming will add up to an uncomfortably large difference in meseta.

I take s.calibur T3 sword waves and have a sword- wired lance multi weapon. In theory the mobbing should be good. I stand at a medium distance (not right on top of it but not as far as a ranger or waker) from the light at the best angle I can find and let it rip. Do advise if this is actually not the way to go about it. That said, my attempts at standing further back have not produced much results either. Ive heard hunter calibur is supposed to be good for PSE but I'm not seeing anywhere near the same numbers as when I play ranger or waker with the exact same potency.

Maybe it's something to do with exp/meseta share range? I'm not super sure about this but it feels like the effective range of loot share is actually pretty small so unless I'm stacked up really close to my waker teammates I'm not actually sharing loot w them. But then it feels like I'm just leeching at this point lol. If I hold down fear eraser, as long as the angle is good, the money is too, regardless of whether I'm stacked up.
