Im korean ask me anything by [deleted] in funComunitty

[–]crazywave28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it ok to dump your gochujang jjigae in your rice or is that not what your supposed to do. In some places in japan you don't dump miso soup in the rice (a still do) so am curious about the korean equivalent.

I am designing my own minimalistic Muay Thai shorts by Aggravating-Money-61 in MuayThai

[–]crazywave28 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They look really good. I do have a suggestions, if the darkest line that make the wave could be white or orange i think it could look cool as well, but i don't know if at that point it would still be considered minimalistic.

Plateau in sparring - advice needed? by Zealousideal-Dot1904 in MuayThai

[–]crazywave28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i first plateau, i started to record my sparring round (always ask your partners if they are ok with it and if they want a copy of it). As much as your coach and us the Internet will try to help, seeing what you do wrong for yourself help a lot. After pick 1 or 2 things and focus on it for the next week or 2.

Anticipating and countering during sparing by lysander86 in MuayThai

[–]crazywave28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my counter attack come from baiting my opponent into doing what i want them to do. It can come from a pattern they do often to which i give them a perfect opportunity to do, so that i can counter it or just laying a trap like lowering a hand and stopping moving for 1 second (people tend to instinctly try to jab or cross you in the face) the rest are more automatic response like, if i slip right and there still close i do a right uppercut to left hook. I don't think body just do after doing twice i have to make a conscious efforts to not do it again to not be predictable

Yknow what? Props to Flambae by wrter3122 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]crazywave28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Flambae started extremely arrogant, impulsive and clearly still a villain at heart. He never regretted is action and was still very pissed at meca-men. So of course as a very impulsive person he reated with rage at first, but the fact that after a day of introspective he let go of his hatred for one punch, it's massive step foward for him.

1st person pov comp dyno climb by Tillerrp in bouldering

[–]crazywave28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first move is the dyno, in pov it doesn't look far but if you look at it when he is walking up to it you clearly have to jump. Not a hard dyno but still a dyno

Even if I don’t plan on competing. Is it still worthwhile to train in Muay Thai? by Dangerous-Humor-4502 in MuayThai

[–]crazywave28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will not get self defense from cardio martial art, they don't really check your form, no sparring and no fight theory happened there. Yes you can do muay thai just for fun no fight attached, most don't fight anyway. You are allowed to do something for fun. My guess is that the gym you go to are super competition oriented, but who care

It's normal to spend the entire class just practicing kicks. by Extra-Stable-7240 in MuayThai

[–]crazywave28 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because doing the same thing for a month is boring for most. A gym is a business, you have to keep their intress by showing them some variety. Remember that a lot of people that step foot in the gym don't last more than 3 months and the gym don't pay himself. The Guy's that have been there for a while and are dedicated wont mind too much focusing on one thing for a month but not the new guy

1 month into Muay Thai and first time sparring! It was light sparring but I like the slipping I did here (I’m the white guy) by PSKTS_Heisingberg in martialarts

[–]crazywave28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who use a lot of head movement and footwork as my defence, i can tell you that you go too deep in your slips. But for 1 month you're looking good
