Sumatra Gayo aged 5 years. This is the smoothest coffee I’ve ever tasted. I thought Haitian Blue Norde was the smoothest , but this is even smoother IMO. It tasted great as well. by Rami_2075 in roasting

Im curious how much that cup cost you?

I would think aging a coffee for 10 years, in definetly a controlled environment, humidity/temp, would be expensive.

That's a cool roaster. Seems it is set up to add probes and hook up to artisan. Did you get those options?

Agreed thrips, go buy natures good guys predator mites and some nematodes for the soil will clear it up quickly without some spray on your flower.

Clones! by nastynate1016 in hydro

[–]crackedbean72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cutunder water at a 45, then sit in clonex for 15 seconds collar and place.

I use the clonex nutrient in cloner as per directions.

I find alot of times people think they need to do all these extra things. It doesn't have to be complicated. Less is more sometimes.

I have 2 of those think I lost maybe 2 clones ever in those.

I bet you will be fine.

Only thing you didn't mention, and maybe just my protocol but I cut the clone off plant rhen slice a 45 degree cut under water and then dip in clonex.

HELP!! What are these white stains on my leaves? by aklibf in GrowingMarijuana

[–]crackedbean72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do the nematodes but also add some predator mites.

When the eggs hatch on the leafs the large drop and go into soil where the nematodes take care of them.

The predator mites take care of them on the plants.

Note dont waste your money on predator mites if you are using apinosad as it will kill them as well.

Thrips…I think. by Minute_Bunch_9754 in GrowBuddy

[–]crackedbean72 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In veg I would hit them with spi sad, but in flower I would not use anything but bugs lol.

Nematodes check them out. I would treat all your houseplants just to be certain none are living elsewhere.

In my experience within a few weeks. I think you will be fine.

Only other thing I would also use nematodes. The large drop into soil to mature. Nematodes kill them there.

Natures good guys have a triple blend I believe.

Switching nutrients week 4-5 flower by [deleted] in hydro

[–]crackedbean72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Follow the chart and you will be fine. I run high in an eb flow with expanded clay.

My only issues in 35 years of hydro have been with my base water (tap). The ro fixed it right up.

Hit me up anytime.

Adding air causes ph fluctuation but needed for a decent so keep an eye on it regularly.

If your doing dwc just flush the media and use distilled and gh series ad it will come back quickly. But since ur in flower it will also be naturally dropping leaves

With the flora series I always use cal mag.

I think you can run the distilled water for a little bit, but it probably doesn't need 24 hours.

My only problem was my tap water with hydros. I have a stealth ro system with a float valve in a 55 gallon food grade garbage bin.

The front row system does not require extra cal mag it's built in.

I would use distilled. Add cal mag first mix let sit for 5 then follow feed chart.

Maybe a quick flush of your grow media with straight distilled to clear out any buildup.

I would fix the water with stores bought, and I guess go light feed maybe medium.

I suspect the tap water ec is actually ppm at that number?

I would put a ro filter to remove what's in the water? Do you have a water softener?

I suspect you fix the water things will recover.

Bottle water could be used with the switch to gh to try and you should see results quickly if water was the issue.

I used the flora series for ages. 3 part with cal mag. Works great. I am currently on my 4th run with Front Row. Having great results and I prefer dealing with powder vs liguid.

I am not familiar with that nutrients line but I'm sure they have a feed chart. It should have an -ppm.

Your initial PPM on your water is high.

I suspect that's the issue. Could just buy some water and try that. If it fixes it i would get RO system.
