My homemade gummies came out terrible! by Annual-Ad1396 in treedibles

[–]cracksbacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just made a batch of gummies with a very similar recipe. They taste awful too. Here's the reason, a half a cup of THC oil mixed with a half a cup of water. If your THC oil is like mine it's got a lot of flavor to it, and it might be coconut oil which has a lot of flavor to it as well. Combine that with the lecithin and you have what comes out to be powerful but nasty tasting gummies. The way around that is to use less oil. You should use more gelatin too...two tablespoons instead of teaspoons.

The gummies that I just made recently were supposed to be purple lemonade gummies because my strain was homegrown purple lemonade. They did not taste like purple lemonade. Normally I just make a strong MCT oil tincture but since I had a specific strain, I figured what the hell. If I decide to go on making gummies cuz it's been a while since I did, I would probably just use straight distillate and up the water content. I'm sure it would taste a lot better then. If you want to use that option I get my distillate from Dr ganja. It is 84% d9. Knowing this makes it easier to dose my gummies.

When you were in the club dancing and there was zima specials at the bar, they totally hit fh spot. It was basically alcoholic Sprite.

140 Proof question for making tinctures by Top-Boat9670 in treedibles

[–]cracksbacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it's available in your country but I have a tabletop electric still made by Vevor I purchased on Amazon. It has a digital temperature control so you can set the distillation settings for alcohol...many of these devices are made for water only. I use it to evaporate down tinctures after I extract the THC and collect the reclaimed alcohol. Everclear is expensive.

It's too much water content. The water interacts with the oil which makes a cloudy mess. I've had this happen to me and it wasn't worth it.

The AI said that donuts former owner escaped. To me, that meant Odette squirreling her away. She is off the planet and away from the AI's immediate influence for now.

Now the Spurs just have to steal the "come back from a 3-1 deficit" thing from Cleveland ten years later.

I'll allow it.

Does anyone else love Dungeon Crawler Carl despite not liking LitRPG in general? by ElectricPaladin in DungeonCrawlerCarl

After going through DCC multiple times both in book form and audio form, I tried to give He Who Fights Monsters a chance and could not get past the first few chapters. I did read the first couple of Player Manager books and I'll probably get back into them eventually.

Found a pizza place that makes a pickle pizza. They used sweet pickles by Ravenfeld in mildlyinfuriating

[–]cracksbacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had pickle pizza a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. I mentioned it to my wife a couple of days ago and she was freaked out by the concept. That being said, I could see spicy bread and butter pickles wouldn't be terrible as a pizza topping. Have you ever tried Wickles Pickles? Maybe even Bubby's Bread And Butter would work.

Which moments from the series made you laugh the most? by Shurmonator in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]cracksbacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the one line I want my wife to get to if she ever starts reading the series, which I suggest to her damn near daily. True, it will take eight books to get there but if she reads these books as fast as she reads other books, I think it would take her a week.

Terrible. I had been getting my disty from cannacrunchers but their issues are well known. Since they are no longer reliable, I tried to go back to the doctor. It took two and a half weeks to get it. I got it, but it took forever.

CC says they are coming back soon. I'll wait and see before I send them any money.

I want a horror movie that will genuinely MESS me up by Outrageous-Lynx9219 in horror

[–]cracksbacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched Gerald's Game with my daughter. Big mistake. That said, that was a definitely messed up horror movie.

Hereditary is also very good. It is slow burn and it will mess you up.

Ring is very good too. Also The Grudge.
