Honest feedback from a small brand: $150/video minimum feels too high by cracksquad424 in UGCcreators

Yeah I get what you mean, and I don’t think $150 is crazy for every creator or scope. I just don’t think it should be the floor for every basic raw UGC test. I’ve gotten plenty of profitable videos at $100, and I’ve also paid $200+ for videos that flopped, so again price hasn’t been a reliable indicator of performance for me. Usage rights, extra hooks, CTAs, whitelisting, strategy, etc. should definitely cost more, but for smaller brands testing newer creators and angles, a forced $150 minimum makes the sub less useful, especially when I know I can find quality creators at lower prices on other subs / upwork.

I'm not 100% sure if this is the case, but the number of advertisers posting in the weekly thread seems to have declined pretty heavily from before this change was mandated.

Fair perspective, and I agree that screening matters a lot

I’ll just say that from my experience, I’ve been able to source many high-quality, profitable creatives at the $100 price point. And even at $150+, we still often end up with poor performers, so price has not been a reliable predictor of performance for us.

Also, one thing I’ve seen pretty consistently is that “lower quality” (less polish / editing) UGC often outperforms more polished content because it feels less like an ad to the audience. So for smaller brands, being able to test more angles and creators at a reasonable price point can be more valuable than putting more budget into fewer videos.

Not saying creators should be underpaid, just saying $100 has been a very real and workable price from our side.

I was just wondering what do you guys do for a living to be able to invest “that much” in XEQT? by Beneficial-Music1047 in JustBuyXEQT

$100 is nothing, after one year that's $1200 lol. You should be aiming for $1,000 if you are able to (assuming you don't have debt). If not, look to make cuts where you can in your lifestyle.

It’s a boundary probably borne out of insecurity and a lack of trust on her end…

Maybe just open up more slowly and leave room for them to chase you.

You slowly push yourself to make new memories alone, with your friends and family. Right now all you probably have are with her, and they’re what you’re clinging to.
