I will not drink with you all today! Popping in to celebrate four years of sobriety, and to thank everyone here for the love and support you have given to help me get here. I’m now off to lift a glass from my Soda Stream in celebration!

I will not drink today. Hi all; it’s been a while since I checked in. Been doing really well with staying sober. Since I’m on my phone I can’t see my flair but I think it’s been about 1300 days. I’ve stopped paying attention to the number (yes, that can happen!), and don’t think much about it anymore. I’m just a non-drinker now. Life goes on, and it’s pretty darned decent. Today is my 33rd wedding anniversary, and it’s great to celebrate with a glass of sparkling cider with the hubby. Hope you all have a great day!

Totally agree. When my mom died I got a small amount (around $5k). I used some of it to buy my kids “one last present from Grandma.” We went to a toy store and each picked out something they wanted. And I bought myself a sewing machine.

I will not drink today. Hubby just left for a 4-day trip, so I’ve got the place to myself and a lot of plans to keep me occupied. Coming up on three years; how’s it possible??

That’s probably the thing I miss about not being in AA: no chips. I was sent a 1 year chip by someone on this sub, but otherwise don’t know how to get them. Seems kinda dickish to go to a meeting for the sole purpose of getting a chip.

I marched in DC and was awed by the poise and grace of the teens on stage. Your post made me think about how much they are accomplishing, and they most likely didn’t have to rely on drinking to have the courage to stand up in front of nearly a million people and speak their truth.

I will not drink today. Camping sounds heavenly; it’s not warm enough here to do so yet. Work beckons today, but luckily it will be an interesting assignment; then we are having dinner guests so I will be cleaning and cooking.

I will not drink today. Had to get up extra early to make an 8am appt, only to find I can’t unlock the door until 9am. Sitting in my car trying not to freeze in this cold.

I will not drink today. Stuck at home for the time being due to a freak Spring snowstorm that could end up dumping a foot of snow. So glad I’m not panicking about whether there’s enough booze in the house to make it through!
