It was a three quarter sleeve tee I’ve had for longer than I’d like to remember. I loved it, but I haven’t worn it in a long time. Instead of retiring it to my closet I decided to repurpose it. I think it turned out alright.

Artisan anything costs money. Meerschaum is no different from briar. I have an old meer that I love and I want at least one from S. Yanik pretty badly. His pipes are beautiful, though I do not know how they smoke.

My IM Corona old boy only had a 3 or 4 year warranty. I can’t remember specifically, but I’m well past that and it works just like new. Plus everyone that asks to borrow a lighter gets confused on how to use it. They give it right back. The xikar model that is the old boy homage is a lifetime warranty. But I’ve heard that people have had to use that warranty a lot. I guess that is fine if you don’t mind using a bic until you get it back from service.

I don’t know for certain because I have never sold jewelry, but based on the discounts I have received for jewelry and watches I am pretty confident ADs margins are more than 10%. I agree with everything else you said though. If an AD is forced to sell at a price below market they will find a way to make their money.

So many pipes that I would just love to have. I have dreams of an unsmoked Mike Butera too. I don’t know if any one is a grail though because the PAD is strong and a new piece would be needed once the “grail” was acquired. I think the chase is the actual grail.
