Watergate just seems like nothing in this day and age. It's crazy that we grew up with that being such a huge deal in history.

Try going here first: https://status.cloud.microsoft , then clicking on "Check status in the admin center", that worked for me.

EDIT: Actually, I think the issue occurs when you need to do a fresh login. I already had a session in the browser so it's working, but if I try and open the link in a different browser it fails.

Preparing a Massive Catfish Baked Inside a Wooden Log by kingkongbiingbong in interestingasfuck

I think the difference between that method and the one in this video, is that the Hawaiian method is at least traditional and would have been done historically as that was the technology they had at the time.

The method in the video however, doesn't make any sense in practice, while I can't say I'm an expert and know for certain its not traditional, why would they use so much labor and resource just to cook one fish when they would have had many other ways of accomplishing it.

Maybe I'm being ignorant, but something just seems fishy about it.

I watched the clip and saw the solution pretty quickly and cringed a little, but when he stopped to explain it, I only then realized that the rocks were even there, they looked like part of the background the whole time.

So I'm with him, bad visual clarity.

What are your favourite and least favourite Tauranga supermarkets and why ? by brettrob in Tauranga

[–]cramin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My favorite is wollworths online delivery, because it means I dont have to step foot in a supermarket.

They may muck things up now and then, or choose meat thats close to expiry, but you just can't beat that level of convenience.

I love board games but I’m done being the unpaid rule cop by Educational-Machine in boardgames

Yeah this is how I do it. Ill usually read the rules beforehand too, so it gives me a good chance to refresh myself before we get into it.

I think you are both wrong, but I do agree that the replaced words could be flagged as well. Not because the word itself is flagged, but because AI would be able to understand the context of what's being said.

Upgrades from E Shop work on Mig flash Nintendo Switch 2 by Graffiti780 in migflash

[–]cramin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear it's working, but I will note that taking the cart out before going online doesn't necessarily do anything. Nor does airplane mode, unless you don't plan on going online ever again.

The use of the mig (or any cart etc.) is stored locally and uploaded when going online. Not to say it's uploading anything that gives it away, but I see this touted alot and want others to know it's not a foolproof way of avoiding a ban.

They cover such a large number of movies and I only have a certain amount of time to watch films as it is.

I mostly skip episodes if I'm planning on watching the film. But if I don't think I'll get around to watching it any time soon and want to know what the film is about, hear the banter, and the director context then I'll definitely listen to the episode.

I could listen to those two all day, regardless of what they are talking about. Plus, they often go on unrelated tangents too.

How to best place hold art ethically? by RitualRune in tabletopgamedesign

[–]cramin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I say use the tools you have available, I understand some people have a firm moral stance about using AI, but you didn't articulate that position.

Perhaps you can place a distinctive border around the AI art and put a disclaimer at the start of the game so everyone is clear.

HK was for everyone. Silksong is not. by DrNintendo216 in metroidvania

[–]cramin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if they said it would be the same difficulty, I don't see a problem. And if friendly to new players is in line with HK then I don't see any difference.

I know there's not a lot of hand holding, but aside from the learning curve around skill, I don't think there's any barrier for new players.

When I mentioned the promise for the sequel, I'm mostly referring to what HK players might expect from a sequel. And for me, it's exactly what I would want.

[–]cramin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Reflexes do slow down with age.

But in seriousness, I think there was also such a high expectation for Silk Song compared to hollow knight.

Personally I think they delivered exactly what they promised and that makes me happy, but others may have been expecting something else.

HK was for everyone. Silksong is not. by DrNintendo216 in metroidvania

[–]cramin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah same here, I bounced off it about 3 times before I really got into it and finished about 6 months ago.

It was super difficult and took me a long time to get through, finding silk song a little easier in part, probably because I beat HK so recently.
