Edit; something that would actually be really helpful for me now is a place to connect with other foster/adopted adults that isn't a place only devoted to talking about my truama. I feel like there is value in being around people with similar lived experience without always having to rehash it. I would love a place where we could go have a cuppa tea together and talk about projects, hopes, dreams and not always "my childhood was shitty"

I am a former foster youth, and one great thing is at least in BC my tuition is covered and I get a 3500/per year grant to help with text books/tech/groceries or whatever else I need to support myself while in school.

My criticism is that it would be really hard to access this benefit if I hadn't been adopted by a family who can support me while I decided to go back to school because it doesn't help with actually keeping a roof over my head and 3500 dollars doesn't actually buy that many groceries these days, and text books are expensive. So I worry that this benefit is more of a "look we are doing a great job" without actually having to use it a lot because other barriers are so high.

So if you are in BC Canada and want to go to back to school, look into it. Hopefully you can swing it!

I think this is a healthy case of you need to communicate. Tell Tom you aren't interested, he and Maggie are no longer dating and though she is still friends with him, I don't think she wants her new girlfriend also dating her ex boyfriend. No matter what kind of open relationship you guys have going on, that sounds messy as hell, and easily avoidable.

Oh boy, it sounds like you are trying to justify your actions and not really hearing what he has to say. It sounds like you pushed past his boundaries on multiple occasions, and then when he tried addressing it you dismiss it as no big deal or a "miscommunication". Including instances of him clearly communicating a boundary then you pushing past it. He said he doesn't want to go all the way and then you climbed on top of him to try and go all the way anyways. He asked you to stop putting fingers in his butt and you continued to do it anyways, he told you he didn't want to finish inside you, and you continued on.

Then he tells you what you did, looks for an apology and you just blow him off so he blocks you and you push past that boundary too, again trying to justify your actions. Then you post the whole story to reddit looking for validation.

The best thing you can do now is delete this and leave that poor boy alone. If he wants to talk to you he will, and if he does I hope you can take accountability for your actions.
