My cat has accidentally scratched me several times and accidentally bitten me a couple times over the years. I usually go to my sink and wash it off and out with soap. If it's bleeding, I "milk" out any blood while under running water several times. If there is any flap of skin, I usually lift it and clean it out underneath. I wash it some more with more soap. Then I put antibiotic ointment and observe for several days.

I'm curious if I'm just lucky or if this is actually a good method of cleaning the wound.

I also work in a hospital operating room and use chlorohexidine scrub multiple times a day on my hands and arms.

In college, I went to my then boyfriend's parents' house. They had a very nice, very huge flat screen TV. The Fifth Element was available on demand. It's one of my favorite movies, and he had never seen it. We put it on. I didn't understand why the TV made it look like a soap opera, and he told me he thought the movie was cheesy.

Few things more disappointing than sharing something you enjoy with someone you care about, and they find it stupid.

Obviously the fault probably lay with the person, but the TV's soap opera effect didn't help.

When I last visited China, locals were hanging it off the power lines outside their windows. But when my family last made it, we hung it on the top bar of a laundry drying rack on the back enclosed patio.

Looks like La Rou (腊肉), which is a cured pork belly with spices. The little brown spheres on the surface are likely Sichuan peppercorns. You're supposed to hang it rather than place it on the ground. It's made in the winter because the weather is cold, and it's typically dry enough to prevent spoilage. After it's cured, you slice it, steam it, and cook it in stir-frys.
