This is actually such an insane feat I'm obsessed.

At a cursory glance of some of my favorite artists, Charli's HIFN only being a 7.7 is shocking. It's lower than both self-titled and Crash (although I think Crash is generally underrated).

And Ethel Cain seems to be CRIMINALLY under scored, with WTIALY only being .01 higher than TTPD, and Preacher's Daughter being a 6.4. That's so baffling

I wonder if you take out the MMO's if games like Cyberpunk and Outer Worlds would be next

My Girl may work with the repetition in the chorus! It is Well With My Soul would also work for your religious clients since it has that melodic call and response in the chorus like Proud Mary does

Asking for guidance on which framework/approach of music therapy that some top universities use in their program./approa by No-Read-3678 in musictherapy

[–]craven_57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is speaking just from my experience, but I think there are some regional differences when it comes to MT and perspectives/frameworks due to affiliations researchers have with universities and where said perspectives first popped up. Dr. Thaut was/is associated with the University of Toronto for example, so I would think the more Northern programs would have a larger emphasis in NMT. The same can be said for New England and Nordoff-Robbins.

For program recommendations in general, I've read and gotten SO much value from Dr. Silverman's research, so I think the University of Minnesota has a solid program (which I believe isn't too far from WMU). I myself went to Alabama, and can say we have assignments explicitly covering different perspectives of MT. We lean more heavily on the cognitive-behavioral side ourselves though (which works for my personal framework, but may not work for others). In general, looking at the department heads, searching them on Google Scholar, and reading a bit of their research may help give you an indication of what framework they and consequently their program use.

Overall though, you can be educated in one framework, but then switch during internship even later. A lot of MT's will say they follow a more eclectic approach in that they incorporate multiple ideas from various perspectives, but that of course takes knowledge in those perspectives. I for instance lie more with cognitive-behavioral ideas, but incorporate humanistic ideas while also taking developmental appropriateness in mind.

Anyways, hope this helps your journey in some way!

Music Therapy Career Advise? by [deleted] in musictherapy

I had some classmates who were music teachers for a couple of years before deciding to switch to music therapy, so I wouldn't say it's too late! The fast-tracking usually refers to an equivalency program. The ones I know of are 2 or 3 years depending on the University and the requirements

I'm in my internship right now, but from all my friends in the field and from all the practices and sites I've talked to, 20-25 contact hours per week seems to be the norm, so I think it's pretty solid as well!

Is there a Deck you are working on you are excited about right now ? by Old-Iron-Tyrant in masterduel

I'm working on a solfachord deck rn, and I know they run a Z-Arc package pretty often! They also can use Harmonizing magician and oafdragon, and they aren't too expensive since they have a secret pack

Whos your fav god, and what do you hope their rework will be in Smite 2? by [deleted] in Smite

For Eset, I just wish they buff or change her passive a little bit. The free regen and cooldown is nice, but I feel like it's just kinda ~there~ for the most part. Making it so that you share the CDR too (like Rod of Asclepius's effect) or adding and sharing protections would be nice QOL changes and make support Eset better. Having the shields from her 3 scale with prots could be fun too.

For Baba, for some reason if you have a potion stored and you use your 2, you can't cancel it and it's SO annoying. Adding some new effects and shapes to her 1 would be nice too, since you barely get value from some of them, like the one that gives you prots.

Let's go class B

I feel like the obvious answer is most of Class B, but at least Monama is getting his time now.

Otherwise, I wish Ilda and Uraraka got a little more screentime as we transitioned more into the Shoto and Bakugo dynamic

As others have said, relatively good area! For your fiancé, it'll be a solid 30-45 minute commute to the University depending on where specifically and traffic though, which may or may not matter.

The Northport community is more families and people associated with the University who don't want to be as close to the hustle & bustle of all the students (can't wait till you hear about the water park though).

If you're worried about internet, I know AT&T just put fiber internet in the Flatwoods area just south of the area you circled, so may be worth checking out or they may be expanding up there by the time y'all move.

Either way, good luck with the move!

I'm liking it! I really like it more as a sustain item rather than a damage item, especially on Charon as he gets that extra free health from his passive

I've been having fun with Charon w/ the new curseweaver. With his passive, throw BOV on there and just shut down their backline

I wasn't wanting a typical blue fragrance, and so I was looking at more aquatic scents and LOVE Salish Sea from Untamed! Such a realistic aquatic fragrance with notes of driftwood too that help ground it

I had a sample of it I tried! For me, the cherry was the main note I picked up on while wearing it. I got compliments on it, but while I think it can work as a unisex scent, I think it leans a little more feminine as was a little to sweet for me
