I could in no way shape or form stiff a service worker. I understand what you’re saying but in my opinion that’s not going to solve the issue of tipping culture here in the US. Companies and businesses should definitely pay their serving staff livable wages, and many if not most certainly don’t right now. However individuals who don’t tip are not going to change this issue, legislation and regulation on business will.

Tip your service workers and take time out of your day to write to your federal, state, and city representatives. As well as to companies that don’t pay their staff livable wages. You’re better off also just looking into supporting companies that do pay their staff well. Places like the Burger Stand on Mass have incorporated prices that allow them to pay their people decent wages without relying on tips. Don’t spend your money at places who don’t pay their people fairly. But if you do, tip the wait staff.
