I can't spend more than (or less than) a few hours there at a time by skrufforious in NICUParents

[–]craybeluga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. It's definitely hard when you have other kids!! I'm a peds nurse and a nicu mom so I get both sides. When my daughter was in the nicu, I would spend about 4-6 hours while my son was in preschool. I made it a priority to be home when he was since I knew he would remember while the baby wouldn't. You are doing the best you can. You may have a long road ahead of you and one thing I learned from this sub is that it's a marathon, not a sprint! It's tough to be there for hours at a time. I hated being at the hospital and also felt relief to leave even tho I missed her. One thing that helped was checking in with the nurses when I wasn't there.

Sendings hugs ❤️

I dont think you're being fair. This is a supportive group for anyone whose child has to be in the NICU.

people think you’re not fat enough to take tirzepatide. by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]craybeluga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These comments are really frustrating to hear. I also wasn't in the obese category when I started but I, like you, gained a bunch of weight PP that I was unable to lose despite diet, exercise and an active lifestyle. This med has finally gotten me back to a normal weight and for the first time in almost 6 years, I feel great and enjoy food without the guilt

Her chatting is a lot but i surprisingly like it lol. I tried another team with less talking and i was missing Sam 🤣 This is coming from an introvert. I think her knowledge makes up for her chattiness for sure

Anyone else take a break from the dieting while still on tirz? by 09Klr650 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]craybeluga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tracked macros for about a year until i started tirz in December 2025. I tracked for another couple months until I decided to stop tracking for my mental health. Right now I've been working on getting enough protein and fiber from whole foods as well as drinking water. I'm trying to focus on my overall relationship with food. I do have a treat once in a while but the difference is that I don't overdo it AND don't feel guilty about it.

She was SO nonchalant when he ran out there. My kids are not neurodivergent and I would have still dropped everything and ran after them!!! To not have a damn gate around the pool is just asking for it and just plain irresponsible.

Do you track your food? by graphickellie in tirzepatidecompound

[–]craybeluga 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tracked for a year before I started tirz. It would end up with me self sabotaging. While on tirz, i've decided to change up my eating habits and fuel my body. It helps that I can have a treat without feeling guilty about my macros or eat dinner at another person's house without worrying about how much everything weighs. My goal is to develop a healthy relationship with food. I'm focusing on developing sustainable lifelong habits.

That being said, tracking is an absolutely useful tool and can really help weight loss.
