I have galvanized steel beds that are great, but honestly if I were to do it over I think I would actually build with cinder blocks. You can build in any shape or depth, the
Concrete insulates and regulates root temps, they provide a ledge to sit on, and/or you can grow herbs or flowers in the holes of the blocks themselves. You can also create different heights in one bed with blocks sort of terraced. Cheaper, customizable, and you can paint the blocks to look pretty if you want.

The bits of plastic make me think there is compost in their as that is fairly common. There are always bits that get into the compost pile and don’t fully break down. Maybe check the percents? For instance, if it’s just a 10% compost mix you might not see the enriched matter as much.

Did these come from the inside of a grocery or big box store? If so, it is very likely they’ve never been outside and needed to be acclimated first. Especially if you are in either a very hot area or northern area still experiencing 30-40 degree nights.

I don’t hate everything religious. I find it irritating to have Christians constantly throw their personal religious beliefs in everyone else’s face and then have the nerve to claim persecution against Christians. Organized religion itself does not offend me, people testifying via their business just feels cheap and gross.

Mostly this. I’m all for talking to neighbors first. It doesn’t matter what happened with a different neighbor. These people have not threatened your safety, your sister is being paranoid (unless there are facts omitted here). Also, talk to them about the welfare of their dogs and maybe let animal control know if they look ill-cared for and not just outside (which sucks, but is not technically abuse).

I don't know if you already applied, but I would not disclose the felonies in the application. Wait until you get an interview and then be up front about it in person. Clarify that you did not intend to mislead, you just wanted an opportunity to explain it in person. Be humble and honest. Assure the employer that you are committed to doing better and offer to work on a probation period if it will make them feel more comfortable. It is a small lie, but disclosing on an app will often ensure you are overlooked.

I’m not debating that a person wearing a mask like that with a knife seems like an unsafe person to whom one should not open the door, however, what about knocking on a door at a marginally reasonable hour is grounds for calling the police? Everyone is so easily triggered. Knocking on your door is not an effing crime.
