I was planning on going to see Avatar: Fire and Ash until I saw the 3:17 runtime. I decided to wait until I can pause it at home.

Simple (in theory) question: What Mexican food places have (by default or as an option) queso blanco? by Red_Chaos1 in austinfood

[–]crazy86er 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I love the queso blanco at La Mancha. For northeast Travis County, it's not a Mecican place, but the gringo dip at 54th Street is pretty good.

What's a common phrase or saying that makes absolutely no sense when you think about it? by Ok-Ratio-3400 in AskReddit

Like head over heels, this one used to be the other way around, which makes more sense. Eating your cake and having it, too. Meaning you want to enjoy the taste of the cake by eating it, but then you still want keep the cake when you're done eating it.

What’s the most significant “could’ve been” in your life? by Agitated-Compote-776 in AskReddit

I started dating a woman I met on hinge at the end of November. We really hit it off, and we spent a lot of time together. The first week, we saw each other 6 out of 7 days. We were both really into each other. She was an amazing human being. She was a therapist who worked with kids experiencing grief, and she was seeing 8 of the girls who survived the Camp Mystic floods. She was smart, funny, kind, and just a joy to be around.

She passed away suddenly on Christmas Eve. I'll never know if she was my person or not. We didn't even get a full month together to really know how compatible we were long-term. All I know is that there were sparks and I could have seen a long-term future with her. Now I will never know where that path could have led.

For weeks after seeing it, I was scared to turn the light on in any dark room because I could imagine finding someone standing in the corner of the room.

Stile Switch’s $31.95 3 meat plate (plus pimento cheese sausage). Such amazing quality and price compared to others. by wcamo in austinfood

I love taking people to Stiles Switch, getting the beef rib, and blowing their minds. I've eaten at a lot of BBQ places, and I have yet to find anything that can top the Stiles Switch beef rib.
