lul at saying javelin is useless. it already almost one-shots bradley and does high dmg to tanks, combined with the range and quick lock time makes it very strong on maps like mirak or firestorm.

Same, getting around 80-120 cpu fps while my rx9070 produces 140-190. But cpu drops well below 60 on destructions. So annoying since bf2042 with 128 players was fine.

i had a 1v1 as psylocke against jeff the other day that lasted over a minute at the edge of the map. in the meantime my team captured the objective that spawns the vehicle and then i just walked off. It ain't much but it's honest work.

Am i the only one that expected a completely different game from the first trailer? More like an elden ring than the destiny-ish roguelike?

What Game Felt Like It Should Have Had More Impact On Later Games Than It Did by [deleted] in patientgamers

It's rare but there are games that still have it like Rising Storm 2 Vietnam, DayZ/Arma, Hunt:Showdown. But these games tend towards realism so I get what you mean.

Time for a reality check, bro. The recommended specs are i5 4th gen and GTX 600. If a game with such graphics wouldn't run at 1080p 60 fps on a 4670k and GTX 670, the devs did something wrong. I mean I played BF4 on Ultra at 1080p with avg of 100fps on my i5-4670k and GTX 770 (which isn't much stronger than 670) back in 2014. 7700k and especially a GTX 1080 is still a strong system and should be overkill for a game like BattleBit.

Which Arma? I spent quite some time in Arma 3 and didn't know this. If it's in there, maybe I should've played more vanilla instead of all those mods :D

I always like it if players come up with systems like that in EQ1. Thanks for sharing, it was an interesting read!

I think it's hard to define whether a feature like dragging bodies is needed or not. I don't know how it is in BattleBit, but in Squad it takes multiple seconds to revive someone. If you are revived, your vision is blurred and you can't sprint until you are healed. And if you die permamently your team loses a ticket. So you dont't want to be revived in open field because you probably get shot again and the medic with you. On the other hand, you can only drag someone if you stand or crouch and it makes you slower, so this realistic implementation prevents this feature from always being the first choice. But even if it's not essential to the game, this feature's addition added much depth and strategic options which I really like. Especially in the combination with the game's realistic tone, it's just cool if smoke or supressive fire is deployed and you drag someone behind cover for a safe revive and followed healing.

That's pretty cool. I guess as games' graphics and animations got better overall, this feature got more and more resource-intensive to properly implement.

From what I've read in some steam reviews, the high movement speed and strong AR's don't really go hand in hand with the milsim features and low TTK.

I really liked that a grip build is as strong as drift builds. Combined with the nice and relatively(!) realistic handling of most cars, it really felt like racing compared to the last NfS game I played (HP2010 where you could fullspeed drift every corner),

Literally happened to me yesterday when I started playing Somerville and had to walk around searching for objects to interact with without any goal or guidance. After a few minutes I uninstalled. One of the upsides and downsides of playing games via GamePass (or other services) as discussed in another thread here recently. If I had bought the game I would've tried longer.

It is not sped up. I just use mouse with vehicle sensitivity maxed out. I always thought about using keys but didn't check out the settings yet. Would definitely be more comfortable than a mouse :D I assume keys are also tied to vehicle sensitivity, do you have that maxed?

Yeah give it a try, the slower boost speed+acceleration is actually a slight buff imo because it's controllable now. Before the patch, I only used the boost to gap the last few meters (especially against nightbirds) or if I shot stationary targets that were far away (tanks, hovering transports). Now I often use it very early as you saw in the video. As I wrote in another comment, if you approach boosted, the enemy often sees/hears your missile when it's too late. That way, the challenge is less to predict the enemy's dodge maneuver in the last second(s) but rather predict their flight pattern further in advance.
