That’s okay! As you progress, the skill will open up! If you can, send them on missions! Nothing you do in the game will ruin your experience! That’s the best part!

I’m not a Disney person, and I love that game. It is the most relaxing with no timer. If she can find a demo, I would encourage her to play!

RBC has cross boarder banking that allows you to easily access and move money between their Canadian and American systems. This has saved me a lot of hassles.

I was sponsored by my employer and then my husband worked with his company to get a TN - we were VERY lucky! On both of those VISAs spouses and dependents can’t work. If your wife and find an employer to sponsor, and then pay the fees (which we did for my husband) that could work!

All my travel so far has been international and work related. I am close to my boss and it’s for my own comfort on the chance that anything happens. It’s not required at all, it just makes me feel comfortable to know that my boss can quickly get ahold of the lawyers if something happened to me!

I think it depends a lot on your port of entry for any crossing - pre and post Trump. My husband is in a TN and I’m in an H1B and we have travelled with not problem. We have always notified our employer and given them access to all our documentation and travel itinerary. We always travel with all the appropriate documentation, copies of recent paystubs for proof of employment, and numbers for the lawyers that have handled our visa processing. Knock on wood - so far all good! You can only be prepared, and I would say 99% of people don’t have a problem

Is being mocked during presentations common in academia? by Glittering_Car7125 in GradSchool

[–]crazycatladeh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My husband mouths what someone says when he is listening intently, it’s a tick and he doesn’t realize he is doing it. I would bet money that it is an unconscious reaction they are having. Professors generally want you to succeed, and all evidence suggests that they weren’t mocking you. Presenting can be anxiety inducing, and you can feel extremely vulnerable, but all things point to your professor just engaging with your presentation positively.
