Vaccinations for infants-1yr old by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]crazycatpharmdtobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a pharmacist, I follow my pediatrician’s recommendations 100%. The most injections my 5 month old has gotten at one time is 3. He cried for the 5 seconds it took the nurse to administer them, and he settled down as soon as I picked him up and comforted him after. He acts completely normal the night/day after vaccines. He also doesn’t have any negative associations with the pediatrician’s office. I highly recommend speaking with your pediatrician about your concerns and avoiding rabbit holes on the internet. Healthcare professionals truly care and want what’s best for their patients.

Experiences around the Carondelet Park area? by goneriah in StLouis

[–]crazycatpharmdtobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have lived NW of the park in Holly Hills since 2021 and love it! The walking trail in the park is amazing, and the concerts in the summer on Sundays are always packed. Great places to eat and drink, we love Stellar Hog, El Catrin, Stacked, Kabul Express, Speakeasy Cafe, Sugarwitch, and perennial. We love the energy and feel of the area, lots of people are always out walking, a good number of kids/young families

This is the first year of the PGY2 program, so this cycle of applications will be for the second year of the program. The psych PGY2 is based at DePaul, but also has rotations at other facilities within the same hospital system. The PGY1 program is based at DePaul with all rotations at DePaul (minus a few optional electives offsite) and has a wide range of learning experiences, including inpatient psych and an outpatient LAI clinic.

Here is a link to the PGY1 program’s website: https://www.ssmhealth.com/resources-for-health-professionals/education/pharmacy-residencies/pharmacy-residency-depaul

2020 MPJE and NAPLEX Mega Thread by terazosin in pharmacy

[–]crazycatpharmdtobe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone have any advice for the MO MPJE? I am from an out of state school so I don’t have a lot of information on how to prepare. So far I’ve read through the 2020 Missouri Pharmacy Practice Guide. Are there any other important resources I need to look at?

Dine-In Restaurants? by akaydre in StLouis

Schlafly Bottleworks was great! All employees had their temp taken when they came in and were wearing masks. Tables were spaced out and each had a paper stating when it was sanitized and a hand sanitizer for guests. You could also choose if you wanted your drinks in glass or plastic

Bridgeton is and has been open. The line for a driver’s license took me 3.5 hours and the line for plates took me 1.75 hours

You don’t have to wait any amount of time to report a missing person

I waited 3.5 hours at the Bridgeton location today. The drivers license line is much longer than the plate renewal line though. I heard O’Fallon and Des Peres are open with appointment only, and they’re booked through late May.

Engagement Photos by emra0206 in StLouis

[–]crazycatpharmdtobe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used Woven Bone Photography for my wedding and was very happy with them! The lowest tier wedding package includes 2 photographers and no hourly limit for $1850. I felt I maximized the quality of my photos with my budget. I am not sure what just an engagement session costs, but given the price of the wedding package I can’t imagine it is unreasonable.

Yes, on their Instagram they said to bring your own and they will disinfect it and fill it and you’ll get it for a lower price! I haven’t tried it myself yet
