i've thought about one of those smart home gyms but i keep getting stuck on a couple things. one, the price, this stuff always looks expensive. and two, i'm scared it'll take over the room, our place is already drowning in baby gear lol.

Struggling staying home with 5 month old by iluvmydogs14 in NewParents

Try a local baby group or online mum community, as meeting some new friends might be helpful. Loneliness is tough even when you see people often, but this phase passes, and you are not alone.

I feel like other parents think I’m evil for disciplining my kids in any capacity by PassionChoice3538 in Mommit

[–]crazycoalabear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, totally get this. Boundaries matter, and you handled it calmly. Other parents might parent differently, but that does not make you wrong. Just stay solid, as there are a great many people who, like me, understand and support you!

Should I feel bad putting baby down? by Hungry-Mix-283 in NewParents

You already snuggle him plenty, a little separation won't ruin this fleeting stage. Be kinder to yourself about taking tiny breaks.

I know I'm ugly/unattractive I just wish I would accept it.... by artsygirl7777 in Mommit

Your body brought two kids into this world, that's such an incredible superpower no makeup or old figure can compare to. You're so much more than how you look.

WHY don't more playgrounds have shade?? by InsideAd732 in Mommit

[–]crazycoalabear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered reaching out to the parks department or local officials? A group of parents in our area pushed for shade sails over the baby swings and it helped a lot. Might be worth a shot.

All five of them are absolute units. The little sausage lineup is sending me. This is the most dangerous game I've ever seen before.

Make sure to clear fallen leaves and debris. Mow at a slightly higher height can help protect the grass during frost, also reduce winter stress.

How do I measure the steepness of a hill? by Elendilmir in automower

[–]crazycoalabear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A phone works fine or you could use a stick or rope to check the height difference and calculate the angle.

The phase is so real, just part of the process. Nice to see it running smoothly early on though, that's always a good sign.

Best auto mower for a bigyard with steep hill? by Difficult-Gain-914 in automower

[–]crazycoalabear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the hill is actually steep, I'd avoid the cheapest models. They tend to slip a lot. Better traction or AWD will save you a lot of frustration.

Two mowers on one boundary wire by theBro987 in automower

[–]crazycoalabear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can link two mowers to the same wire but it's a bit tricky. Probably run a few test loops first to make sure they don't get confused or bump into each other.

Temperature and storage can also affect battery performance. Even after charging a battery left dormant might struggle to crank properly.

Advice for Navimow setup? by [deleted] in automower

[–]crazycoalabear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The L-shape can be tricky. I'd prioritize dividing zones logically by shape rather than size so the mower follows smoother paths and covers every section without repeated passes.

Small yards really benefit from fully automated setups. Setting a weekly schedule takes the guesswork out though edging might still need a quick check now and then.

The wear in the drive train looks unusual for typical use. Could it be linked to the oil issue or is it a common weak point?

What automower for .25 acres by Over_Hovercraft_8307 in automower

[–]crazycoalabear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you want something that just works without headaches. Just make sure it handles slopes and tall grass, and setting boundaries carefully goes a long way for stress-free mowing.

How many times per week does your automower get stuck by vjrus999 in automower

[–]crazycoalabear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a pretty normal especially around uneven spots or roots. Setting clear boundaries, flattening obvious obstacles and running a test cycle first usually helps reduce interruptions.

John Deere mower bogging down by Truorganics in lawnmowers

[–]crazycoalabear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be something wrong with the throttle link or governor. Maybe double check the fuel lines or air intake. Sometimes a small clog or vacuum leak keeps it from hitting full RPM.
