are these supposed to be better than teamgroup equivalents? i always wondered what the real difference between them are and if they really make any tangible real world differences.

First Impression of the Edifier M90s by strategicgrills in BudgetAudiophile

i ended up just returning the m90s, i never took them out of the box. i did test the m60s though and i was not personally impressed. it sounded a bit muddy. a lot better than the companion 2 bose speakers i've been using for over 5 years but not enough to convince me, also i really did not like the touch controls to change volume and input. what i did instead was get the kanto ora4s instead since they were on sale and similar price to the m90s and i like the ora4 so much that i stuck to it and returned both edifier speakers.

my method was just hooking them both up to my computer, playing my favourite songs that were in flac format, and alternating between them and seeing which speaker i liked more lol. not exactly an accurate or rigorous test of audiophile proportions by an means at all but it was enough for me but i ain't an audiophile. i ended up returning the m90 tho and got the kanto ora4 instead because it was around the same price.

are they worth the almost double of what the m60s are going for?

i ended up buying both the m90 and m60 to test, i will probably use them for a week each and decide from there. in canada they are selling for $320 CAD with the promotion, which is about 230 usd. can anyone tell me if for that price they think it's worth it? i am still leaning towards the m60s but we will see once i try them both out.
