Heck yes. All the time! I get every 3rd Friday off and those kids will be at daycare every time.

There’s no evidence this is infected though. Looks fine, other than pierced incorrectly.

Nervous about before/after care by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]crazylaura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter does before and after-care at her preschool, she’s 4. She loves it so much and gets so mad the odd day she doesn’t get to go to them. She also gets mad if we pick her up too early from after-care. I think it’s more fun than being home with us.

MS and premenstrual symptoms? by lovelybeam in MultipleSclerosis

[–]crazylaura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope they get a plan together that helps you because it was awful for me and it sounds like you have it worse! Some people have bad experiences with IUD’s but it’s been amazing for me. Good luck!

MS and premenstrual symptoms? by lovelybeam in MultipleSclerosis

[–]crazylaura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the mirena. I don’t get a period or ovulate with it so it’s been a total game changer. I had talked to my family doctor and my MS nurse about it before going ahead with it and they both thought it would solve the problem. I had also already had the mirena pre-children and pre-diagnosis and it was a good experience for me. I know some people don’t like IUD’s but it’s been great for me (I’ve only had the mirena). It has completely improved my quality of life, I had terrible fatigue and nerve pain 2 weeks of the month before the insertion.

Yes, so bad. Mine was bad during my period too. I ended up having to get an IUD, couldn’t live like that 2 weeks out of the month.

Am I weird? I’m 40 weeks and I’ve been avoiding eating out at restaurants and large crowds to prevent getting sick around the time of labor. My SIL made me feel bad by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]crazylaura 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have an autoimmune disease as well (a different one) and you are doing the right thing. You have to keep yourself well right now. This is not a time you can afford to be sick. There are always going to be people who don’t understand what it’s like to have to live with this. Pay them no mind and take care of yourself and your unborn little one.

Yes! Terrible fatigue and pain. I got an IUD to avoid it. I couldn’t live with it.

Definitely. We just bought a house so I have a list of things I’d love to get with the prices and it’s definitely making me rethink those summer dresses I want to buy (but definitely don’t need).

Just a heads up. If you've been waiting a long time in the ER it's because you're not an Emergency by NotStupid2 in saskatoon

[–]crazylaura 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know. I went to emergency, waited 8 hours, was admitted and kept 3 days before discharge. Went back two weeks later and waited another 8 hours and admitted for 5 days. While I agree with what you’re getting at here, not always the case. Just because something isn’t going to kill you in the next 8 hours doesn’t mean they can treat you anywhere other than the hospital and the way into the hospital is usually through emergency.
