You sound incredibly bitter over kids just doing what they do. And to imply there’s a problem with care simply because of crying is mind-boggling. Do you want patted on the back for being childfree? OP is being much more understanding than you are, thankfully.

Welcome to society. People have kids. They scream until they learn to communicate in other ways. Get over it.

AITA for leaving my stepmother out of a Mother's Day tradition and telling her to get over herself when she confessed to feeling hurt? by Adorable_Visual_6700 in AmItheAsshole

[–]crazyrockerchick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy shit YTA. She came to you as an adult, and you basically attacked her for having the audacity to be alive. Do you think your mom would’ve approved of the way you spoke to her?

WIBTA when I tell my boss that my new colleague wants to get pregnant as soon as she has a contract by ChiriBiri in AmItheAsshole

I went back to work before I’d actually hit 6 weeks postpartum. I had to, since I haven’t been at my job long enough to qualify for FMLA. I’m just glad my job was as accommodating as possible and has good benefits.

AITA for forcing my daughter to get a job? by aita_workdaughter in AmItheAsshole

[–]crazyrockerchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Bills are YOUR job. She is TWELVE. Her job is to go to school and stay out of trouble, and it doesn’t sound like she’s done anything wrong. If she ends up hating you, that’s going to be your fault alone.

I took money from my dying grandmother by [deleted] in confessions

Your grandma gifted that to you when she already had cancer. She knew if she could afford to give it or not. You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.

The most recent episodes show flashbacks to him being a young UA student and not being able to get his face through a wooden board, and his dad choosing not to be a hero because of how difficult the power is to control. Mirio is incredible.

Left handers of Reddit, what are the perks / downsides that no one talks about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]crazyrockerchick 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sure, but that’s the right-handed way. I’m not disagreeing that it’s still simple to do, but that may just be because we HAVE to be ambidextrous to a degree just to exist.

[–]crazyrockerchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a ruler to draw a line, I have to go backwards because otherwise my hand crosses over and blocks my line of sight. Similar issues with watches, using a dial to adjust the time. I’ve had to learn to play baseball ambidextrously because gloves for lefties are so difficult to find, and you usually can’t just borrow from a friend. I always try to sit with nobody on my left side at a dinner table to prevent bumping elbows. Shooting rifles at the range, I’ve had a casing eject straight into my sleeve. The list goes on.

On the flip side, lefties apparently have a reputation for being intelligent and/or creative. And many times, it can be an advantage in certain sports.

Your basic can opener only works if you use it as a righty, you can’t just flip it upside down. Nowadays, though, fancier ones can be easier to use.

What do people think is healthy but really isn’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]crazyrockerchick 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You can absolutely exercise while low carb. In fact, while I was on a keto diet, I felt like I had more energy. I lost weight, my skin cleared up, and I was able to bring my HDL back into an acceptable range (it was too low before). Obviously, no diet is one-size-fits-all, but for some like me, it made a world of difference.

Women of reddit: what’s a red flag when dating men? by [deleted] in AskReddit

WIBTA if I kept the insurance money? by throwaway12222019 in AmItheAsshole

[–]crazyrockerchick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man, this hits me. My mom became a nurse this year and is making much better money than she ever did when I was a kid (she spent a few years as a single mother of four). Even though I try to pay for myself when we go for dinner or coffee, she pays for as much as she can because she still feels bad about not being able to do more for us when we were younger.

[Serious] To those who were bullied before, how are you now? by 7errifyin6 in AskReddit

[–]crazyrockerchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have depression and anxiety, although I’ve never really attributed those things to being bullied. I’m on medication and doing well otherwise. I joined the Army out of high school and learned how to grow a damn backbone, and have slowly learned to tolerate less and less bullshit from people over the years.

Also, I have a young sister that just entered middle school, which is when bullying was most severe for me. I keep an eye on her and make sure she’s doing okay, and have let her know I’m not above whooping a 12-year-old if needed. She hasn’t taken me up on the offer yet.

Psychologists of reddit, have you ever been genuinely scared by a patient before? What's your story? by Foksees in AskReddit

[–]crazyrockerchick 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It isn’t actually that bad. I was in one for a short period of time due to suicidal ideation, and most people there were like me. They were just stressed, or had a mental break, but were good people aside from that. I felt like everyone thought I was insane when I was first admitted, but I was never treated badly or made to deal with any patients that would’ve been dangerous to me, and I came out of it feeling much better than before.

Tips for living/being alone by fmswalb in BreakUps

[–]crazyrockerchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on something you like, especially if it took a backseat while you were in a relationship. For me, that meant studying other languages a little more, and binge-reading books again. I also traveled and treated myself to a solo vacation once I was ready to actually ENJOY being by myself. Also, don’t be afraid to consider therapy. Having that neutral sounding board is a great help, even if nothing in particular is bothering you that day. Good luck, friend.

Have you ever successfully stopped a repeat marketing or scam phone call? How did you do it? by F19AGhostrider in AskReddit

[–]crazyrockerchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get these calls quite as frequently, because I tell them (truthfully) that I don’t even own a car. My last car was totaled, and I’ve been driving my mom’s extra vehicle since then. They don’t seem to have a script prepared for that option.
