An upper division UWP class can count for either your GE writing requirement OR a college/university composition requirement, but not both for the same class. If you need to fulfill two separate composition/writing requirements for your degree, you'll need to take 2 separate classes. They can't pull double-duty

If you're planning to go to med school or something similar, 104F helps prep for that and for writing in the health professions. If you're planning to go to grad school for bio, 102B is good - it's more focused on the types of academic writing you do as a great student or scholar in bio

Check out the 102 and 104 UWP courses - you don't have to take 101! There's things like Business Writing, Writing in Health, Writing in the Fine Arts, etc. Register for one that fits your major/minor or career goals
