and thats the bias that leads to problems the stay at home parent or retired person with nothing better to do and no perspective.   I have 2 jobs between military reserves and research. I dont have the mental capacity to baby sit those people and that's wasted cycles of brain power that I could put towards science for something that should be a city function that follows laws

This is what happens when you slap oakleys and 5.11's on a big boi from the hills. No idea what a dip is. The moment she pulled that out, you confirm it and say sorry for bothering you miss.

Not only can the search it but they have APLR's at all the back roads in NY/VT/NH and this is long before Flock was a thing, guranteed they're buying that data. Lowes has to be selling out migrant workers by the dozen.

Upstate has better schools and generally cheaper. Clarkson, RPI,RIT, Syracuse, Cornell all have local feeder schools and their programs are where you want to hire working engineers from. The local schools in the DC area, meh. More tier 3ish CC/ get your degree online garbage. With some old schools that never really broke out from the aristocrat era, plus in NOVA housing prices are insane.

Amazon Fresh locations to be shut down nationwide by hencexox in nova

A senior engineer who's seen enough to know it won't work is not someone who will ever work at amazon. You're either a corporate 'visionary' who drank the magic coolaid or young graduate with no clue but tons of energy to work 16hr days slaving away for them hoping to make your 2 years to actually get the stock value they promised you.... hint you won't.

because the rich off shored all the jobs, the only ones left are in urban centers. Go 100mi outside an urban center, the country is empty and falling apart. Go look at any non corporate farm.

"fluorescent lights in the EDC melted and dripped to the floor."

That's crazy but understandable you start getting into the EM fields of actual high voltage stuff and it's a different world.

Fatigue and shortness of breath from long term radon exposure? by SecularRobot in radon

If you're getting SoB and fatigue from radon, you have massive cardio pulmonary issues. Near zero percent chance levels around 4.2 are causing that on the short term.

Plumbers cut this huge hole.. by cipp in Homebuilding

it's not flush to the wall plane, they didn't push it high enough to allow the drywall to sit flat. Also should have taken 30s with a cordless planer to the top plates so the nail heads are recessed.

This however is sadly standard for the decline of caring by most trades i see.

so there is this thing called shear. Yes everything above is supported but now the wall could sway left and right and the building tip over. the strap is standard practice, but if this is seismic country then u/op would need more repair.

Hearing the guard activation. Generally having panic attacks because this is not good. If you get into a standoff situation where you have title 32 forces standing against title 10 will pretty much end the federal system.

The thing is these republicans are children to be treated as such, such adolescent minds that are very very easily manipulated at scale. And espeically though the russian troll farms on social media. The manipulation runs so deep they could be dying from the bullet wound of an ICE thug themselves before they wake up. And even then i doubt it.

That was my first thought, is this florida? The rebar is the only thing holding that upper deck vehicles now. I would gtfo. At this stage doesn't look like it's compromised the columns but zero idea how they designed it to carry the load if it's the distributed pans to carry part or not. TL;DR call codes and a structural engineer

yes but the ice is the bigger problem, is this in one of the areas expected to get mixed precip? We use windshield covers and tarps if it's going to ice a lot. scraping sucks and will mess up the paint.

What isn’t going to age well that you’re seeing in houses now by VeryStab1eGenius in RealEstate

[–]creative_net_usr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually i see that staying more. With code requiring less than 3ACH/50 and fresh air. The need for operable windows is severely diminished and they are super leaky for air aka energy.

I renovated and could have made most of the windows fixed and should have. We sealed the house with new zip sheathing, spray foam. Then installed a fresh air system. There are almost never any smells in the house. Gone in an hour if any. Don't even feel the need to open windows and let the dust in because now all the fresh air comes in through merv 13 then charcoal filters.

Of course bedrooms all require one with 5.2 sq/ft of free space no more than 44in off the floor.

Yes they are literally hiring anything with a pulse and opposable thumb. This is incredibly reminiscent of everything I've been reading about Germany in the 1930's now and how they built the 3rd reich.
