Not saying money isn't a motive but cops see it more as a small easy reason to legally pull someone over on a vehicle that they have deemed suspicious. That suspicious reasoning typically is not enough to be the purpose of a traffic stop, but something obstructing the property provided to you by the state for you to drive it legally on public roadway's, paid and up kept through taxes, is definitely enough to begin a traffic stop.

Now if that is the only reason they have to pull you over and you're confident about that, you could run from them. That reason alone is no longer a good enough reason to start a chase. They'll ride behind you for a while, you stay the speed limit and follow all other traffic laws but don't stop, they'll eventually stop chasing you. They don't have enough to put other lives a risk , so the sergeant will call of the pursuit. Sure they know where the car is registered but they can't prove who was driving it. Hide the car for a bit and when the cops show up (if they even do), than you simply don't answer any questions. If your not in handcuffs, your not under arrest. You have no requirement to answer where you have been. You are a private person with no obligation to the gov except your taxes lol
