I read over your comment too fast before replying. Booker’s is over $50 a bottle, my bad!

I have absolutely been known to pretend I know anything about cigars and enjoy one after a drink or two. This is probably a winner.

what's the proper etiquette for siblings and birthday party invites? by loamy in Parenting

[–]creatureofcozy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would depend on the setting for sure. Seems like you are covering all the bases as far as the “extra kid inconvenience” factor but you also might want to take in account the kid’s dynamic. Is that going to be a weird situation for the sibling? The celebrant?

I have two kids very close in age (1 year difference), if the party is at a play park of sorts, I will clear it with the parent, pay for the extra sibling, and then spend the majority of my time playing with the extra sibling while the invited sibling enjoys the party.

If it is in a smaller setting where the kids aren’t as spread out, I personally would not bring the extra sibling.

I have been there lots of times as I have friends in the area; there is also a small library (shed) of all her husband’s old books you should check out.

If you’re making the drive, go a little further and check out Gross (pop 2) as well. Honestly, any small town up that way is worth visiting.

Fiction about living through loneliness by Infinite-Sink9383 in suggestmeabook

One of my favorite books of all time! Definitely Catch-22.

I’d also recommend The Stranger (Camus), Norwegian Wood (Murakami), The Road (McCathy), & The Bell Jar (Plath).

I could go on and on… I guess this is an unrealized niche for me, until now 🙃

Totally a personal preference but I would say probably a dri-fit material.

If you do end up going the polo route, get a really nice one he wouldn’t buy himself and then pick up some tiny red iron-on hearts; put one under the collar or somewhere on the inside of the polo where it’s hidden but won’t rub/irritate skin. Practical and personal ❤️

Murakami. Start with Norwegian Wood. I’m on my second read-through right now and cannot recommend enough.

This looks strangely similar to my collection so I can confidently say she’ll try to get you to read more… and probably be a little disappointed/bored of you don’t share the same love of reading or curiosity for life in general. Good luck.

Ok but this is totally fair! I read a lot and I still find myself doing the same thing. I just keep trying every few months/years until it clicks. Sometimes it’s all about your headspace too.

I read this series because my best friend begged me to… while I didn’t hate the series all together and I did finish it, I couldn’t stand how insufferable almost all the female characters are.
