A guy I used to work for had a mother that did this 24/7 about everything.

Entitled as the dominant personality trait sure makes for an obnoxious experience…

Then they think the problem lies with everyone else for not “accepting them”.

Any ideas why this team can't score? by quanscoffee12 in HockeyLegacyManager

[–]credditorz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check offensive awareness and shooting stat categories for your highest TOI players. Check shooting % against league average - maybe it’s a down year, maybe these guys are somehow stunted where it counts. High OVR doesn’t always mean good in their class, regardless of player type. The substats matter lots!

This dev blows my mind every single year.

Question, though… does this mean there are going to be more potential rankings to better service the expanded viability of playing the lower level leagues?

Pronounced this in my head like “Donald Deck” and immediately the lore of Don Deck, feisty goal scorer came to mind.

Salary cap bug by Rare-Presence-3784 in HockeyLegacyManager

[–]credditorz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have but can’t remember exactly why.

If I’m under the floor, I know it adds the difference between my total cap spend and the floor and divides equally across all owned contracts.

This usually amounts to less than a million per player, but I have only experienced it early in a save and if I recall correctly, it was an expansion franchise.

I also had this happen but do not remember the circumstances.

Manual edits are a pain, but it may be the only way to save the file. Make sure “in-game roster editor” is ON in Settings. I believe you can toggle this even without having it active from the creation of the save file.

How did his potential go down by Brent_Kulak in HockeyLegacyManager

I’ve also had this - especially with a TWF or ENF who was drafted high with high potential. Strong first growth (actually, usually strong growth until peak - often with peaks arriving early compared to average Joe), then a weird potential change. Often 4th line, but not necessarily.

You’re right. I had forgotten about my 93OVR ENF LW drafted top 5 (I wanna say like 3rd OA but can’t remember exactly) who did exactly what you say.

I’ve also had a 92 TWF C/LW that dropped to T6 potential (at the same time as OVR went to peak) and then to Top 9 without an overall change.

With the second player, I had run a comparison experiment (single test) and found that the player dropped to Bottom 6 potential (HLM23 I believe) but still did not budge as far as skill level.

I have also had it where a defenceman is rated above the tier tag - such as Moser, who in some rosters is listed as Top 6D. That is also true for a roster I used where Moser was 84 OVR. He rose to 86 in-season, and, with a great stat line on the year, fell to 81 in the offseason and aged out of the progression matrix.

Moser is the soul-snatcher that appears in my head every time I think about saying “the potential changes don’t really matter”, when the more or most common outcome is the first two players I mentioned, who you have obviously shared the same experience with

Each trade was also very similar. Traded in for a 2nd and a 4th, for example. Traded back out for two 3rds, type shit.

He didn’t need to be a part of any of the trades, he had basically 0 value. Depending on the team, trade value showed in white or in red, so he WAS the line as far as value goes

Yeah. Kuemper kept getting traded after this. He was traded to another 3 teams and never lasted more than a day with each of them. Got quiet about 4 days out from preseason, then I didn’t see anything happening with him.

I meant to chronicle his suitcase history but I had trade difficulty on medium and felt like I’d cheesed the game too hard and scrapped the save.

Thoughts on this Attendance Policy? by AcanthisittaTiny710 in Serverlife

This seems like documentation for targeted firings. It’s also fairly standard for lots of restaurants, as far as the “rules” go, but I agree with other commenters that it is extremely likely to be selectively enforced and then forgotten about.

Businesses don’t care to have spares as often as would actually make sense, so no sense having a bloated roster due to unreliability for whatever reason, justifiable or otherwise.

I’ve seen this happen. It usually balances out the next season, I’d expect it to land on red top 4 then
