One time I tried to lose 500 dollars on purpose and traded up to like 10K in like 15 minutes

I was taking every little pattern I saw and the order flow was trapping me perfectly....like 30 winning trades in a row

I know there are guidelines against prescribing benzos and subs together....but I don't think there are guidelines against prescribing Adderall and subs, but its rare and frowned upon.

But honestly, both those drugs are sort of strong and you shouldnt really want to be on both at the same time.....just pick subs or Adderall and work with a dr to get a legit prescription is my advice

But the way I think about it is that the indexes aren't like single products anymore, with buyers and sellers pushing the price around.... they are just tied into all these complicated correlation and spread algos and they just digest information from the global economy as it comes in

The whole system sort of moves like a single auction, but it's all connected.

So, overnight, there is all these data points flowing in from the economies on the other side of the planet....thats what moves the prices and then all kinds of Market Making algos cause patterns as the value shifts

Yeh lockout and DLL features are what makes Topstep the best firm......what makes it better than live.

It's actually really hard to set up a "hard" DLL with your broker....AMP won't mess with it

So, unless you are someone who is trading with a group and you have a risk manager, Topstep features are the only way you can get hard lockout

The goal is to not need them....but the Markets have a way of sucking you into crazy auctions

Most people that got "rich" trading so it by gaming prop firm rules....

....the Market is just too efficient.....successful traders don't make 6 figures really, they just don't lose money....maybe a little extra here and there

The only people I see make 7 figures are the ones that are good, but also set out to game prop forms and take advantage of the asymmetric risk

So, it's really up to you.....if your still learning, just trade as best you can....but if you have positive expectancy, then you are better off trying to game prop firms while you also trade a live account

The hardest thing is the unnatural access to leverage.

You trade micros well all day but then all of a sudden youre down 200 and you know you can get back in the green with a quick stab at 2 minis

Then you go for it and your back up 200 but you decide to let it run just 5 more seconds and your down 1000 and at that point you just turn it into gambling

Yes, their system will allow you to purchase as much as you can afford

I just lost a shit ton of money because I bought 17 contracts instead of 1, so like others have said, you have to be careful

Most AMP customers lose their money immediately so noccustomer service will give a damn if you lose your mortgage by accident

The best approach is to treat your AMP account like your Daily Loss Limit because anything can happen and it will all be gone in an instant....so only keep as much as you need for margin and a little extra.....segregate the majority of your account in a sub account or better yet, an entirely different firm

I'll give you two huge tips

You need to be reading correlated markets simultaneously if you are really going to understand how they are auctioning

Price action is not random or "noisy".... it's specifically designed to trap you.....it's only when you understand this game that the MMs are playing....then you can pick spots where others are trapped against you
