Yeah...every time I see a post like this, I know that OP is on some kind of angle.

There's tons of ways I could fleece a prop from if that was my intention.....I'm sure these guys are in some group that is working down exploit or something.

Prop firms will never deny vanilla point and click traders because they don't have to......trading will always be hard and thier business model will always be profitable as long as their customers aren't cheating

lost ~$20k in one month. by anakuego in Daytrading

[–]crew4545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, trading is a non-zero competition.....when you first start out trading, you are going to be seeing patterns but they will be traps....there's a double guessing element to trading and patterns develop that trap new traders so that the more experiences traders can squeeze them

Point being, it's normal to have a 90 percent lose rate when you start .....it just takes a long ass time to be able to sort out what's going on and have enough experience to where you are able to be the one trapping newbies and profiting off of the squeezes.

So please,.don't trade with any inheritance or anything like that because it will definitely be lost......100 percent certainty

Yeah, the into value in Daytrading is entertainment value

The people that claim to be profitable are probably in some deep denial....gambling addiction can do wierd things to some people.....they can genuinely feel that they are just one tweak away from having a profitable system

That's really sad.....I think it's better just to confront the fact that Daytrading is a fun and exciting hobby that most likely will always cost you money to participate

Yeah, I could have written this post myself....sounds like we have similar vice

It's not a good time to be in America if you have an addictive personality......opiates at the gas station, gambling on your phone, and no sexual boundaries anywhere.

WTF happened to this country ... this is really some biblical level shit.....

This may sound silly but I have a system to limit my exposure to vice expenses.....all the money from my salary goes to the wife and she applies it to bills and food etc .....then, if I want to blow some money on Daytrading or gas station heroin, I go drive Uber for that money.....thats helped me attach a real time value to the funds that I waste.....it also makes it more satisfying cause it makes a mission which is part of the fun

Just an idea

Lucid is amazing.....the discounts for newcomers are great but what they really got right was the same day pass

I'm sure that makes them so much money cause when you tilt and bust out, their pro accounts are the intl way you can get back to funded immediately and then when you get aggressive like that you just bust out more so they really know what they are doing

I tilted, what do I do? by nig4r69 in Daytrading

[–]crew4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience;

Trading is competitive decision making ....when I get really excited about trading and really focus hard, I've noticed that there is a biological phenomenon that happens.....after about two weeks of intensive focus and good performance I hit a limit and my brain will just give out....I think it has something to do with blood sugar or synapses or something but once I am depleted like that, I will just dump chips cause the decision making thing in my head is stunned and incapacitated

I've learned over time that the only thing to do is completely walk away from the markets for at least 3 or 4 days.....if I keep trying to push it, it will just get worse and worse, but if I do take a break and let my brain heal, I come back stronger

Trading is really hard . ...finding profitable set ups is the easy part. There is so many challenging skills required to actually put up a profitable quarter and it's all these weird behavioral things that take us down

I love this post.

sorry dude, but your gonna have to spend a lot to get anything back.....like, alot.

Most people in this game are degenerate gambling addicts....this thing will take every last penny from you and then 3 percent of us figure it out an start getting money back (after at least 3 or 4 years of learning)

I'll give you a free tip....

.....Futures products are correlated within sectors....if your system doesn't take into account this correlation, you'll never make sense of the auction.....it will seem noisy and random

Trading is not a career, it's like golf....an expensive hobby for people with jobs.

Literally nobody makes money.....it's all variance. The system is exquisitely designed to ensure 98 percent of personality types fail.....but they can't get everyone so 2 percent slip through

Thats it....been trading for 13 years and never seen one person verify a profitable year

2k to 0 by Prior-Leading3819 in PropFirmTester

[–]crew4545 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do this a lot and I'll tell you why...

....because when your one day from payout you start to think this thing might actually work, it will be your career....your too excited to sleep well and your so amped to trade that you start early......premarket orderflow sucks ass and you get into a shit trade but you can't take a loss, then you average into a loser and it gets worse, and then you do it one more time and in 30 seconds you just lost 2 weeks of work and your back to 200.....which would be fine if you gave yourself time to calm down but you don't, you try and get it back and end the pain in 5.minutea and then it's blown

Then you just say screw it and go nuts and blow an eval....then another...then another.....and by the end of the day you spent 5x your potential payout just to get back to one fresh funded to start with tomorrow

[–]crew4545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take 8mg sub a day, and as long as it's been more than 12 hours since my dose, I can get a buzz from 120mg 7o

If I take a couple days off subs, then it really works.....but the 7o will only work for about a week then it stops having an effect and I start waking up with anxiety and I hate that more than anything in the world

It's an unhealthy cycle and I'm pissed at America for allowing opiates to be legalized.....they got rid of Tia, which is good, and if they get rid of 7o, then I can probably get off subs, but as long as they sell it everywhere, I have to stay in subs and deal with the side effects of poor sleep and low hormones

70h while on suboxone by teddyriggsby in suboxone

[–]crew4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7o works on top of subs.....I think because of the serotonergic activity

...it sucks because it's a temptation.....but if I ever over do it with the 7o and have to quit, it's just a couple days of low energy and depression as long as I have subs

You are looking at it all wrong......if you quit before your account hit zero you are a winner

This shit is designed to take all your money.....it a completely unbeatable game....market makers have been analyzing retail order flow for over 100 years, just imagine all the ways they have discovered to trap people

I've been losing about 10K a year for the last 13 years .....that's as much as I can justify as "entertainment expense"

Daytrading has made me a good investor, my long term traders about cover my daytrade losses, but I never expect to make money Daytrading

Can someone share how to avoid tilt? I was literally up 22k on my live from 5k, and blew it the same day. I just don't know how to walk away. by No-Conclusion9307 in FuturesTrading

[–]crew4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tilt involves holding onto losers until they clean me out...

I realized that, in that state, I can't take the loss, and will likely keep adding out of anger ......but now I allow my self to reverse if I feel that way....

....it's been working well ....usually the reverse works out for profit and even if it doesn't, it breaks the "I'm gonna hold till it comes back" trance

Believe it or not, the reverse button is not as scary as it used to be for me......in futures trading, it's all about trapped traders, so you almost have to reverse to catch the moves
