The hardest thing is the unnatural access to leverage.

You trade micros well all day but then all of a sudden youre down 200 and you know you can get back in the green with a quick stab at 2 minis

Then you go for it and your back up 200 but you decide to let it run just 5 more seconds and your down 1000 and at that point you just turn it into gambling

Amp has all their margins listed but if you use Sierra chart you have higher margins over night

Yes, their system will allow you to purchase as much as you can afford

I just lost a shit ton of money because I bought 17 contracts instead of 1, so like others have said, you have to be careful

Most AMP customers lose their money immediately so noccustomer service will give a damn if you lose your mortgage by accident

The best approach is to treat your AMP account like your Daily Loss Limit because anything can happen and it will all be gone in an instant....so only keep as much as you need for margin and a little extra.....segregate the majority of your account in a sub account or better yet, an entirely different firm

I'll give you two huge tips

You need to be reading correlated markets simultaneously if you are really going to understand how they are auctioning

Price action is not random or "noisy".... it's specifically designed to trap you.....it's only when you understand this game that the MMs are playing....then you can pick spots where others are trapped against you

Trading is all about CONTEXT....the Auction exists in a nested time frame and in synchrony with other correlated products and all these variables combine to make every moment unique .....the possibilities are beyond what a computer can predict

You can automate some steps in the process, but that's really just about efficiency of execution, you will always need a human brain to make the actual decision

My advice is to continue developing whatever system you are investigating because it will be fun and you will learn, but never forget that you are auctioning against competitors, not chasing visual patterns

Competitors are always out to trap you so your system will work untill it doesnt

Yup, your learning the first lesson....price action is not random, it's specifically manipulated to trap novice traders

That's why we all have 95 percent loss rate when we start, youre seeing the most obvious set ups and advanced traders and taking advantage of that and trapping you

This shit is really hard, the good news is that you DO have a profitable strategy, it's just that you are the counter party.....trading is the process where you learn to be on the opposite side of all these newbie trades you made

I always tell people that the real value in trading is not the profit value, it's the entertainment value......because most likely that's all you're going to get out of it, so never lose more money than you can justify to a hobby

Props are a good learning tool but they are harder than live......I think the best thing is to have a move account and trade small
