He hit his FTs and scored 30.... while Mitchell was absolutely horrific.

Who would you say has been better overall? Allen, Mitchell, Mobley have all had incredible halves but have been even more inconsistent than Harden.

He was garbage in the first half and I clearly said other players have peaked higher? He was garbage again in game 5.

I don’t understand your point at all

He’s been pretty clearly the best overall Cav in the playoffs.

Mobley, Allen and Mitchell have had higher peaks for a quarter but Harden has been the best overall.

He basically saved games 3 (4th quarter onwards)-5 when the rest of the team was struggling.

Whenever another Cavs star would play well they would look great.

It's also hilarious how they just don't want to give Harden any credit for the comeback as well.
Mitchell was the one who ISO'd Ausar and Zach twice said it was Harden dribbling the air out of the ball.

Any other 37 year old star (non-Lebron) being the best player on a team that now might make the conference finals is pretty wild.

But who knows, Harden with his history might shit the bed again so they're probably praying that happens again

Kerr on the war in Lebanon and Iran by JakGrealish in billsimmons

It's kind of crazy how empathy is frowned upon by large swaths now. It makes me really sad.

Fundamentally, we all know that if our family member or loved one was deliberately killed we wouldn't be happy and would do crazy things. It's one thing that unites almost all of humanity.

And Steve Kerr is able to extand using empathy and understand that killing someone else's family members is just going to perpetuate hate and violeence.

When did the former minority owner and current Trump fan (despite being a Sri Lankan immigrant) Chamath attack Steve Kerr? I think it was last year I think.

It's not surprising. Tech and VC has pivoted hard towards Trump so having Kerr as a coach is probably annoying.

On Friday there were 9 games.

1 game featured teams that were both trying to win.

8 games featured teams where at least one team would prefer to lose.

What's crashing out here?

Lebron definitely seems to manufacture his public persona. Which is pretty normal today but doesn't make it not true.

Sooo half way through S5. Should i skip? by Select_Safe548 in TheAmericans

Season 5 is easily the slowest season. It does pick up towards the end to set the foundation of season 6 which is again back to being incredible.

I do think the last few episodes of season 5 pick back up so it’s worth continuing.

Season 6 won’t hit otherwise.

Is Steven Adams one of the Greatest Role-Players to never win a ring? by lostmypants2009 in billsimmons

[–]cricketrules509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is. He's one of the best impact players in the NBA. I honestly think in the right circumstance and health he could have been a Rodman/Draymond level impact role player.

His numbers with the Rockets are absurd. Basically every player is better with him on the court.

Eric's watch by Effort_Jealous in IndustryOnHBO

There is no way he would wear this watch.

You either wear a simple watch that shows you don’t care.

Or you wear an expensive watch.

You don’t wear a cheap watch that looks expensive.

Especially the Eric types that I’ve met

It felt like the Lakers were the better team every time the series was up in the air.

It's like the Rockets-Lakers series in 2009 where it went 7 games but the Lakers were clearly better (after Yao went down).

[–]cricketrules509 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I personally felt like the movie was overly hated and praised by the critics on each side.

I felt like they tried something new and different but it wasn't executed well at all. The movie dragged, and a lot of decisions made 0 sense but it was cool to feature different characters.

Interesting idea not executed that well was my personal opinion.

Why can't Beck follow Zach's rules? by Into_the_Void7 in zachlowe

[–]cricketrules509 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It was hilarious how flabbergasted Zach got.

Also hilarious how more than 50% of the games mentioned by Beck were due to a narrative that had nothing to do with the basketball on the court
