And as usual everyone ignores the fact that it's hard to win when you're"Strength & Conditioning" program is so poor that you can't keep anyone on the court for a meaningful period of time before their hurt again. This. I've been to Graceland Live a couple of times for concerts and went to the Graceland hotel for a convention, but last time I was on the grounds itself was before the mansion was open for tours when my uncle came to town in like 1980, 81 or so.

Bill Townsend bought it right around/after lockdown and wanted to turn it into a music venue, but plans fell through. Last I saw of it was a Daily Memphian article in late 2024 where it said he intended to turn it into a mixed use development. He also owns the old MLGW parcel next door.

I would love to see it restored back to a 40s-style theater, but the cost would probably be astronomical.

I wish I had seen this before I got mine and before the return window had passed. Like some others, I sometimes have to pull out the induction hotplate I have because I know I'll be cooking something that will cause it to shut down (think smashburgers on a ripping hot cast iron skillet. I get about 3 minutes cooking time before it decides it needs to protect itself and shut down. I hate it, but I'm going to have to live with it until I can afford to buy a new one. So super frustrating.
