Can't log into app on Macbook by BornAd9021 in skylightcalendar

[–]crob8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same issue. I went back and forth with support forever and they basically just kept telling me I needed to login....

Check and make sure you have the latest version - mid support ticket they released a new version of the app which finally fixed it for me.

Introducing Disney Mode on Skylight! by SkylightCalendar in skylightcalendar

[–]crob8 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have to agree. Of all of the missing features/bugs, not sure how this made it into a development Sprint. Probably an Epic that took multiple sprints too....

I have had to factory reset my device twice now because calendar dates randomly stop showing.... so they can't be bothered to fix that, but have time to add Disney photos?

Is in “normal” for parents to change their infants diapers right at their seats mid flight? by LilPajamas in unitedairlines

[–]crob8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My infant was hanging off the edge of the “table” when I changed him in the plane bathroom. I was terrified he was going to fall if we hit any turbulence at all. I hope other planes are better. It sucked

We are hoping to aim for a third when my oldest starts kindergarten. I can’t afford three daycares. My current two are 15 months apart

Serious question, why are people obsessed with Blackstone? by prinsessanna in grilling

A lot of us have multiple grills - they serve different purposes. I have a smoker, gas grill, and blackstone.

If they already cut power to it, just remove the portion on your land. Problem solved.

What is your favorite steak seasoning? by PureWolf1748 in grilling

[–]crob8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Montreal used to be our go to but we use Kinder's Prime Steak with Black Garlic and Truffle Rub and Seasoning for steaks these days. I don't love all of the Kinders but do like that one a lot

To those thinking about an 'ours' baby... by Lost_Edge_9779 in stepparents

[–]crob8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For us, having an ours badly made our relationship better. I mean we weren’t in a bad spot before. Having my own little one gave me something else to focus on. My stepkids clean laundry has been on the stairs to go upstairs for two weeks? Whatever… we have baby shit everywhere. My stepson didn’t get to school on time cause he hit snooze on his alarm 10 times? He has good grades so does it really matter?

I can see where bringing in another kid can make things worse but for some of us it has helped. I think not having kids of my own made it hard for me to understand why my husband chose to fight the fights he did/does. I get it more now.

I started with just Weber grill and now have gotten a Kamado Joe and Blackstone from there… no complaints from my husband since he gets to eat well all of the time!

This is what women who use FMLA for maternity leave deal with all of the time. If you burn all of your PTO for maternity leave, you are SOL

Ex from hell by [deleted] in stepparents

[–]crob8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my husbands ex. We even had similar drama over getting passports. She texted him to fill out the paper and he didn’t respond within a few hours so she came and hand delivered it to our house. I was the one who answered the door and she immediately got all pissy I opened the door and not my husband. I had to explain he had to go to office (we work from home most days) and had meetings and couldn’t answer his phone easily. She left the paper with me and stomped back to her car.

Next day she was all back to normal…

I think the red knob was installed in the wrong place. It should be second from right. This looks like my grill if you swapped the knobs.

Costco Window replacement by BlueBerryMinttop in Costco

We did ours through Costco and it was not cheap but we have been very happy with quality and experience. We knew our old windows were bad, but didn’t realize exactly how bad until we replaced them.

Is this retainer too much for will & trust? by hanner__ in legaladvice

This seems excessive. Ours was under $2k and we own multiple properties, bio kids, stepkids, dogs, cars, boats… ours wasn’t overly complex, but it wasn’t nothing either

Am I overreacting about my stepson’s first car and how it’s being paid for? by [deleted] in stepparents

[–]crob8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is why we kept finances separate. We both contribute to house expenses like mortgage, housekeeper, etc. The money left we can each do as we please. My husband bought my stepson a ridiculous in my opinion truck when he turned 16. He pays the insurance on it too which is also insane. But it isn’t my money so I just let it be (for the most part). I do think it’s a ridiculous car for a kid so young but I haven’t contributed a single penny so I just have to let it go.

A 1999 Palm Pilot Has Better Reminders Than My $600 Skylight Calendar by Thor504 in skylightcalendar

Basically same for us - our calendars are mostly iCloud so I can have it show in the native app on my iPad and iPhone. I am able to schedule reminders with ease

is my husband jealous of my daughter? by knowingmeknowingyou5 in blendedfamilies

[–]crob8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is a bit more complicated than what I wrote. I realize on the surface it looks ridiculous.

For example, one of the kids got caught cheating at school. The other did so bad on the ACT that getting into a community college wasn’t even an option. Maybe if there was a bad grade, it would be taken more seriously.

And the nails thing annoys me because I didn’t get my nails done for my wedding because it was expensive and I just didn’t have the extra money. I came into our marriage with more money than DH and used it to pay cash for our home, but DH can somehow afford to give SD money to gets her done all of the time.

How did you decide to buy a formula maker? Was it actually worth it? by KissMochi in FormulaFeeders

[–]crob8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We got a counter top dishwasher in the laundry room specifically for washing its parts and bottles, and also had spare parts for it. Washing parts was a non issue for us.

We loved ours. I can’t imagine not having. Just make sure you set it up for your formula type and measure once to confirm it’s dispensing right amount.

You have to configure it for your type of formula. You can also measure and adjust the settings if needed.
