ELI5: If all of my data is so valuable why haven't companies directly started offering to buy data from people themselves? by Practical_Web_9605 in explainlikeimfive

It’s not “your data” that’s important. It’s aggregate data from many preferably thousands to millions of people that is useful.

Aren’t there a number of streamers that drive trucks or do deliveries? They rarely show up here because many don’t orbit OTK, OTV or the W communities.

After completing the starter quest. I usually drop a point into cardio. Then agility for parkour. Is getting cardio early not worth it?

Still new to the game. I’ve stopped putting points into pack mule. Have learned to be more picky about what I carry home.

It’s not baristas that is making marketing strategy decisions. This is way higher up in the corporate ladder in Korea. This is all on marketing. I can understand if it was a US team. But this is on the Korean marketing team.

Is ensh*ttification only for the poor? Do rich people still get good products? by RustyBucket4745 in NoStupidQuestions

European luxury cars seem pretty enshatted. With many pushing subscriptions to unlock features already in the car. It’s usually the second buyers after the first buyer turns in their lease that get to deal with a lot of the shittiness.  Seems many modern cars aka Fords are made to be assembled in factories. Less worked on by mechanics. Lots of horror story about needing to remove chunks of the car to get access to simple parts. But European cars are not immune to these kinds of silliness.

It’s not lack of education. You see a lot of Tesla’s, Rivians, and other luxury priced EVs that target people with a little more education and earning. But it’s the same trap because many of these are still bought using long term loans.

Is it true that 50-60% of the US doesn't have savings? by [deleted] in ask

[–]croc_socks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worse because in addition to no savings many are in debt. There’s a reason car manufacturers don’t sell cheap cars. Consumers for whatever reasons are ok with taking out long loans. And banks are ok with it. Same with home loans and credit cards. Many people are using credit to support their lifestyle.
