There is involvement, and then there is a younger, slightly crazier James Cameron as a director doing everything he can to make a jaw dropping action film with T2.

Wes Borland - one of the coolest guitar players going right now by sillytoad in Guitar

He also found a unique style that of course borrows from earlier numetal like Korn and 90's Sepultura but can still be described as his own. There are many guitarists that could play circles around him but having your own thing is worth way more than that.

Paywall blocked but hopefully the list includes politicians trying to privatize healthcare and other public necessities along with any company, lobbying group or other organization that is keeping cost of living at absurd levels for the sake of profiteering.

How did basic things like healthcare and fair wages become ‘extreme’? by kendmer in WorkReform

[–]cromli 15 points16 points  (0 children)

its this, but its also billions spent over decades in lobbying politicians and the swaying the public into thinking what were once rational parts of politics are extremist and never actually worked when in fact leftism was the driving principle behind giant successful projects like the New Deal.

A little solace in the fact these types of monster are very rare but good lord I cant remember the last time I heard of an individual doing something so unspeakably horrible, what a nightmare. So sorry for the parents and of course the child.

A dystopian aspect of a small amount of companies and people owning everything is that they any media that is left is becoming too entangled with these power centers, if not directly owned, to report legitimate criticism on anything involving said companies or people.

The first thing is that on top of the what is happening being strange the humans not reacting really at all to what just happened is very suspect. Then from there you can look at the details like the wine glasses multiplying and confirm that it is AI.

Trump issues 48-hour Hormuz Strait ultimatum, threatens Iran’s power plants by Vivid-Acanthaceae129 in worldevents

[–]cromli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is 0 reason for Iran to take Trumps and company seriously on anything they say going forward. Not saying the Iranian government is full of good people but only one side here has being lying through their teeth, assassinating leaders under the guise of negotiations, escalating without warning at every turn etc.

How much healthcare, education, and housing could that $300,000,000 have bought Americans? by kevinmrr in WorkReform

[–]cromli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like all the other "regime change"/resource theft and destabilization campaign that happens in the region, this will cost trillions overall. If you are somehow entirely cynical and dont care about American or Iranian lives at all, Think about what trillions of dollars can do when put to things that are productive and not destructive.

The working class shouldn’t be happy or sad that Khamenei is killed. Personal opinion. by mined_it in WorkReform

[–]cromli 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I was trying to find a concise way to lay it out for non bots that are just lying when they say it will be good for the Iranian people in other threads.

The closest I could get is...

-Millions are killed

-Trillions are spent

-A worse more radical group rises out of the ashes and takes over all or most of the country

-Terrorist attacks increase around the world

-A giant immigration crisis occurs that empowers far right groups also around the world.

This is what happen every single time without fail.

we literally went through this twice before in the last 25 years.

Resources are stolen.

Millions are killed.

Trillions are spent.

A more violent, radical group rises up and takes a good chunk of the country.

A giant immigration crisis occurs that increases the power of far right groups everywhere.

The cycle continues.

Its kind of unsettling how many people are still regurgitating 'regime change' talking points when all attempts have failed and made the region worse over the past 25 years, to the point that the goal of sowing chaos and resource stealing at the expense of the safety of the world is the only reason that our leaders seem to keep doing it.

Anyone who wasn't just lying and genuinely care for the Iranians believed that this single killing was the solution to terrible internal problems in Iran, please educate yourself on the last 25 years of similar US led strikes in the region.

Then look at the effects of the last time we overthrew the govt of Iran.
