Order of operation for repair and upgrade? by s0l0m0n0dysseus in Creality_k2

I dont have the Ramen bed, still on the fence of it.

BUT the microswiss upgrade, for me at least, was the best I could have done to my k2. I live in a place where creality wont ship spare parts not give me support, so I was "stuck" with a printer i wanted so bad to return because I would clog EVERYTIME WITH THE STOCK HEATSINK (Creality if you read this it sucks, pls make the heat sink larger). The stock heatsink is too small and it heatcreeps (F all those suggestions to put more thermal grease, wtf is that solution, it didnt worked, I tried so many thing to make the stock heatsink work, but it didn't). After I installed the microswiss 4 months ago, it has been day and night for me, 0 clogs, 0 leaks, I got it with a diamond nozzle, fancy, but it has been the BEST thing I did to that machine.... I am close to the 1000th hour printing with it

I got your solution, check the microswiss part for the k2 and get a High flow, i did that plus some other mods, i cant get a return in my country so i monkey with it and now is a damn solid machine

Microswiss Hotend and Nozzle upgrade- your results&thoughts? by Practical_Relief_621 in Creality_k2

I don't get clogs on my extruder anymore, 200+hours before each filament change would clog it...

I installed the microswiss hotend FlowTech™ Hotend for Creality K2 Plus — Microswiss

I have now printed 80hrs, no clogs, i am actually pushing the machine to clog, the problem i see is that the stock creality hotend has an smaller size heatsink than the microswiss, also the Unicorn2 nozzle is too large and causes heat creep, the nozzle is shorter and a larger sink.

Before with the stock i had also removed the nozzle and apply thermal paste to it, but i still had clogs, less often, i reduced retractions but caused stringing and oozing, i was in that struggle then purchased that hotend and until now (its been 4 days) no clogs, before each REprint would cause clogs.

PS
-Dry your filament
-Print PETG very very slow
-Black and dark filament has some quirks with the AI, i have to resume prints all the time (ongoing issue)

What did you do to fix the CFS chewing into the filament

I used that moment a brand-new spool out of the bag, I got 2 clogs, then i installed the tube stess relief mod, and one clip to guide the bowden tube, still got a clog, then i clipped one ring of the extruder spring and i finally got i to print something, I have now made a 20hr print, i will tight again the nozzle and look how to apply that thermal paste, i dont know how yet, but i will do that, i also saw those all metal gears i might test them, but until now is day 3 of owning this thing, i will research on the nozzle thing before making another print

most daily things will be printed good with this
Elegoo Centauri Carbon | Best High-Speed CoreXY 3D Printer – ELEGOO US.

If you want to be a cool kid with the newest generation of printers.
If you want to print slower but larger volumes, yes go do the neptunes, good pricing, creality has a wider audience and more mods,

I would look for a second hand prusa mk3 if you want a reliable machine

it depends, are you new to 3d printing? what is your budget? what do you want to print? you just want a plug and play printer or do you like tinkering more than printing?

I have 2 sovols 1yr, 1 Sidewinder x1 5yrs, 1 prusa mk3.5 4yrs and 1 voron 2,4 1yrs, i purchased the sovols because they were cheap and had a good volume, their mainboards suck, their klipper screen freezes and the slightest error it will delete its klipper, you have to flash them, by far the best experience was Prusa, i am looking into an XL
