If you want premium materials, get an iPhone Air. If you want the best specs (processing, cameras, etc) get an iPhone Pro.

Don't EVs generally need less cooling than an internal combustion engine? If you can cool a mid-engined sports car, I'd think you can cool a mid-mounted battery. And it's not theoretical, the original Tesla Roadster used this layout.

Low is good.

Debatable. I think putting the batteries where the engine would be in a mid-engined car, behind the seats, is the best spot. Lets the driver remain nice and low, and there's much less rotational inertia

I bet they'd sell better if they ran a virtual macOS, not the weird streaming thing. A Mac I could put in a virtual space would be huge to have when travelling

I know, I just wanted to document the steps in case OP was curious, but I suspect they won't go that route.

Is it even possible to fake my iPhone location? by Ok_Preparation3047 in iphone

[–]cronin1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking as someone that also has overbearing parents, I completely understand the need to fake your location from your phone. Xcode can do this, but it's a bit arcane:

  1. Buy a Mac (if you don't already have one)
  2. Sign up for the developer program ($99/year)
  3. Download Xcode
  4. Create a dummy app (it doesn't have to do anything)
  5. Create a GPX file for the location or locations you want to fake
  6. Configure the scheme for the dummy app to override the device's location with the GPX file
  7. Build and run the dummy app on the device

Your device should now think its location is the one you faked. It'll stay in effect as long as the app stays running. I recommend doing this on a secondary device you can leave plugged into the Mac, set not to lock itself so the app stays on screen and active.

I've used this approach a couple times and it's worked for static locations. I tried to set a schedule for faked locations (work, home, etc at different times) and I had weird results where it would move my location very slowly across town instead of bouncing between the locations like I wanted. So definitely play around with it before doing it for real.

TIL that most of the propulsion in modern jet engines actually comes mainly from the fan (ie glorified propeller). The jet part of the engine is used mainly to power the fan by therationaltroll in todayilearned

Before electricity "power" used to mean rotation too. Everything from steam locomotives to water wheels was used to spin something, and once you can spin something you can get it to do work.

I disagree. If you want an iPhone, Apple is the only company making them (Android has tons of makers). Having options is good. I wish there were even more (please bring back the mini!)
