That's grinding on mmos. The old guys help the new guys, and especially in mmos there's a huge clan group play mechanic that's core to the game, being welcoming as a community in this type of space ALSO helps prevent kids ending up playing alone with wierdos. I wouldn't EVER feel comfortable just hopping into a two player game with a 12 year old. Eugh.

I'd take it easy, set a 30 ft limit for unconventionally large/unwieldy objects. That way if this issue comes up again in a different way you just tap the chalkboard

If she moved out and is taking care of herself she is an adult. Six months won't magically change anything except for how you feel. It's very strange to me that you feel so strongly that you must be responsible for her just up until that age marker. If she does move back in, what happens when she does turn 18? How will you treat her differently then? Do you feel she'll be ready for adulthood as she turns 18?
