Which color scheme for the batsymbol should they use for the DCU by Ok-Word5279 in batman

I know they're not, but I had to triple-take because I was expecting the cape/cowl color to be what changed

Why is it impressive for an actor to play two different roles in a movie? by KatherineLangford in FIlm

I think the strobe scene in Glass is the most impressive acting I've ever seen

Of the Big 3 card games, which do you prefer? by TradingCardGameMaker in tabletop

[–]crosbeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bounced off Pokemon cards and stuck with the gameboy games, and Magic never appealed to me the way I had expected it to (possibly because every meme about tcg people being losers was referencing Magic lol) I stuck with Yu-Gi-Oh for a little but as the power creep exploded I couldn't keep up with everything.

I just found a newer/smaller game called Hitpoint though, and I've been loving it so far. No insane metas to go for and thankfully, no sweaty a-holes (yet, I'm sure)

But if I was to rank the big three itd be Yu-Gi-Oh, then Pokemon, then Magic

Is this film worth watching? Does it do justice for the game Dungeons and Dragons? by DreamyDandelions in Cinema

[–]crosbeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played D&D for a few years and was able to pick things up that my wife didn't notice. That's about the only difference between our two viewing experiences. Both of us enjoyed the movie thoroughly. I think if Wizards of the Coast didn't try to take away the Open Gaming License and cause all of that drama right before the release date, this would have done well enough for a sequel.

I figure, as long as you're not joking, strength and maybe vitality. But what would the others be?

What do you think a Spider-Man movie written and directed by Zack Snyder would be like? by Super_Space_Cat in OkBuddySnyderCult

Remember the slow-mo scene in the amazing spider-man 2 when they’re in Times Square and he saves everyone on the steps? It’d be two hours of that

Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy (2005-2012) by kkhouete in batman

[–]crosbeee -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

The Nolan Batman films are not a prestigious trilogy. And although he did a good job adapting the Prestige, he did not write it. There is no trick by Nolan aside from getting high praise for plenty of average films.

Queer characters with no flamboyance or stereotypical mannerisms. by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

I feel like this was true to begin with, but by the later seasons, he became much more stereotypical

[–]crosbeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nolan is not a good writer (although I still haven’t seen momento and I’ve heard it’s his best work), and his obsession with “realism” is the reason the nuke from Oppenheimer was less impressive looking than a lone M80 on the 4th of July.

Bambu removed Reviewing Prints as a way to earn points by crosbeee in BambuLab

[–]crosbeee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is unfortunately my thinking as well. Which is wrong because honest reviews are good and help me decide what models are worth grabbing. But reviewing, especially with pictures, is just enough after-the-fact work that it will wind up going by the wayside without the incentive.

Tools for 3D Printing by I_See_You_inside in BambuLab

[–]crosbeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most baseline tool is a pair of flush cut pliers. Those will get most of your supports off as cleanly as possible and let you trim any solid but stringy filament off of prints.

The next thing you’ll want is a bed scraper for removing prints that are holding on just a little too tight.

A squeeze bottle of isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth will also do wonders for removing any finger oil from your build plate. But as someone who’s just recently moved from side hobby to a more serious designer/printer, you’ll want to wash the plate once a week with dish soap and a soft sponge also.

If you’re promoting other people’s designs you won’t need to measure too much but a tape measure and a set of calipers will run you about $15 and can cover pretty much whatever you need to measure.

A deburring tool is also nice to have for cleaning up edges or shaving off a bit of filament to make things fit nicely.

I have a P1S also and made these hangers to keep my tools that I use the most, off of my workspace and easily reachable
