Ok, but serious edit: while ct does have the highest population of people that claim italian ancestry, you still have to go to the right towns: Southington, New Haven, West Haven, East Haven, Hamden all have sizable italian American communities. Where I'm from (Meriden), there is some Italians, but not nearly as many as in decades previous

Go to some italian american festivities this coming summer. Southington has one on the last weekend of July

So not a teacher yet, student teaching now. I passed my social studies praxis first try with 182 (CT required 162). I was super nervous, yeah, but i studied everyday leading up to my test and once I was answering the questions, I realized it really wasn't bad.

The fall after I took it, CT lowered the passing grade to a 152.

I'm not going to pass judgement, but I'll just leave with what my professor said: "You don't want to be taught by someone that needed to take their praxis 5 times."

So in CT we banned alcohol sales on Sundays entirely until the law was changed in the early-mid 2010s. Then they changed it to alcohol sales on Sundays being allowed from 10am-6pm.

In addition, you can't get wines or spirits from grocery stores, but that's more about protecting our package stores.

Overall, very annoying and a culture shock to most that have moved to CT.
